On the Rejuvenating properties of Magnesium Bicarbonate
The third lead was both obvious and obscure. The marvellously feisty old cows and sheep found on some grazing properties on the Monaro high plains in south-east NSW, were there for all to see – in the flesh and in stud records. They were living 50 per cent beyond their normal life span, and longer. There’s something in the spring water, old folk muttered down the generations. But no-one really knew.
If these three disparate clues could be linked to a common event then doors might start opening to ways of enhancing and extending the human life span. The wizardry of nature as applied to human longevity has stolen half the life of Dr Russell Beckett B.V. Sc (Hons) M.Sc. B.A. Ph.D., a Canberra-based, biochemist-pathologist and research scientist. He prefers that his name stand alone, uncluttered by academic glitter that marks the impressive span of his qualifications: Bachelor of Veterinary Science with Honours, Master of Science, a PhD in Pathology, representing in all, 15 years’ grind at Sydney University.
The shy scientist’s speciality and passion is biochemistry which covers the micro cellular forces that drive our bodies and keep us alive. The wrecker of healthy cells and harbinger of disease, states Beckett, is acid in the form of carbon dioxide carried in the blood circulating through our bodies. If body cells could be buffered (insulated) againt the corrosive effect of acid then the possibility of extending the human life span was within scientific reach, Beckett reasoned as a young vet. A generation on, he now asserts that scientific reach has shortened to hands-on reality.
Beckett and his colleagues did not get to carbon dioxide as the villain of degenerative diseases via biochemistry. Someone asked, almost casually, ‘Why do some animals in Australia live longer than they should? If all our theories of aging and disease are correct why do birds live five to 10 times longer then they should, according to body weight on a scale based on the theory that the greater the animal’s weight the longer it lives, mice at the bottom of the scale, whales at the top.’ Adds Beckett,"The theory that body weight determines longevity flies out the window when birds and bats are added to the scale. They are warm blooded but you won’t find them on a body weight-longevity scale because their presence challenges our conventional views of longevity and aging."
The same question can be asked of the Australian echidna: why does it live for 30 or 40 years whereas animals of a similar weight, like cats and rabbits, live only to 20 years. The echidna’s biochemistry is quite complex, says Beckett. Part of the reason for its low acid is that one of its enzymes does not produce as much acid as other mammals. The echidna has one of the lowest temperatures – 33 C – of any mammal which slows its metabolism and aging process. "When we looked at that, and it took a long, time to get there, we found that animals which broke the body weight and longevity rules had evolved very efficient ways of ridding their bodies of carbon dioxide," Beckett says. "They did not have excess concentrations of the carbon dioxide in their tissues, blood or body cells. Therefore their bodies did not have a factor common to all human degenerative or inflammatory diseases."
Birds, explains Beckett, eliminate carbon dioxide by not breathing in and out of their lungs as humans do. There is a constant free flow of air through their bodies producing low acid and very high oxygen concentrations in the blood and body cells. Bats, he says, have their own special way of getting rid of carbon dioxide. They hang around upside down most of the day letting gravity do the work while they sleep. Because carbon dioxide is 50 per cent heavier than air, it tends to pool in the lower parts of the mammalian lung. When bats hang upside down, the heavy carbon dioxide falls from the alveoli of the lung and is replaced by lighter oxygen. Also, when bats fly they expel carbon dioxide through their see-through wing membranes. By eliminating carbon dioxide efficiently from their bodies, birds and bats enjoy long life spans. Birds can produce 30 or more hatchings and continue happily to breed. One famous little bird, the fulmar, found in Scotland, does not show any signs of aging at all, after producing up to 80 hatchings in as many years. How it manages to do this remains a mystery. If bats and echidnas can do it, how come the reputedly smartest of all mammals, humans, have failed the acid test so palpably? A good question, says Beckett, not having a ready answer. "I think humans went down a social evolution track, an evolution from their cerebral cortex, which took over from longevity."
Fish and reptiles, Beckett points out, have their life spans increased by 100 per cent or more when their body temperatures are lowered. Fish such as sturgeon and rock fish that live in very cold temperatures have long life spans. Some animals demonstrate negligible signs of senescence and may be potentially immortal – save for accidents and starvation. Examples include bivalve molluscs, lobsters, tortoises and birds. Some species of ocean fish also may be potentially immortal. These fish eliminate carbon dioxide from their gills into an alkaline (magnesium bicarbonate and calcium bicarbonate) ocean environment. Beckett, now working in Canberra, decided it was time to take another, longer look at unfinished business left from the rock fern years in Nyngan. A rogue thiamin had tweaked the DNA of a cell in sheep and cattle. What effect might the richer brew of real thiamin (vitamin B1) have on the cellular life of animals? At this point Beckett’s long road of discovery took a spectactular turn.
One day in 1992, Russ went to his friend Jim with a problem. In his years of criss-crossing Australia had he come across farm animals that lived to extraordinary ages and were still healthy and breeding? Watts answered straight away, pointing Beckett towards Cooma and the Monaro high plains. To Beckett’s amazement a likely solution presented itself scarcely an hour’s drive from his Canberra home. Beckett set up a team of superannuated earth scientists and went to work.
The Monaro, swept by winter gales and seared by summer drought is hard, unyielding land to gaze upon but buried deep below are hidden riches. Down there is another, primordial Monaro whose rivers and valleys were overlaid by molten lava flows from volcanic upheaval 30 million years ago. Over the millennia an energising soup of chemicals – calcium, iron, magnesium, potassium, sodium – leached from the lava, creating the basalt country that farmers will kill for. Beckett and his team were hoping to find magnesium bicarbonate in a free form but nature had functioned more subtly than that, producing magnesium ions and bicarbonate ions separately but effectively working as one chemical on animals. The magnesium ions had come from basalt rock and the bicarbonate had come from carbonic acid in rain – acid rain.
For Beckett, the clincher was that properties that had the most magnesium bicarbonate in the spring water had the oldest cows. The co-relation between aging and magnesium bicarbonate ions suspended in spring water convinced Beckett that the two elements, magnesium and bicarbonate, were the magic mix that was making magic cows – animals that lived 50 per cent more than their normal life span, staying healthy and dropping calves. Likewise, sheep. Watts, equally impressed by his friend’s discovery, enthused , "The whole distribution of age and performance had been skewed towards old age and doing well….16, 18, 23-year-old cows, all doing well; 16-year-old sheep; a 40-year-old horse. Marvellous." Beckett eventually broke down magnesium carbonate hydroxide to form free-standing magnesium bicarbonate which he used to buffer the mitochondria, thus getting past the last barrier to creating an acid free cellular system.
So the old folk of the Monaro who for three generations had insisted there was something in the water only to be laughed at by outsiders, were proved right: there WAS something in the spring water, increasing the life of their farm animals. Folk-lore and scientific proof were at last in step. The former vet at Berridale, Liz Seears, who for years had wondered about a remarkable fecundity among ewes, was bang on when she pronounced to the Herald in February, 1997, "It all adds up to magic water."
A case study close to home - My wife, Yvonne, had painful arthritis in her thumb and knee that kept her awake. Two years ago she started drinking Beckett's water and within three weeks the pain in the knee had gone and the swelling and inflammation of the thumb joint had almost disappeared. Providing she drank 1.5 litres a day, the arthritis did not recur. If she cut the intake, the arthritis flared within four or five days.
How You Rot & Rust - At the physical level, disease and aging of the body is all about rotting and rusting. The rot is an underlying biological mechanism inherent in all earthly species and the rust is an oxidative process. Here we present some core education with out-takes from our pre-training workshop. Because the concepts build on each other, it is helpful to take the Rot & Rust "tour" one page at a time starting at the beginning. When you get to the end of the page you can just click on to the next. The pH balance of the human bloodstream is recognized by all medical physiology texts as one of the most important biochemical balances in all of human body chemistry. pH is the acronym for "Potential Hydrogen". In definition, it is the degree of concentration of hydrogen ions in a substance or solution. It is measured on a logarithmic scale from 0 to 14. Higher numbers means a substance is more alkaline in nature and there is a greater potential for absorbing more hydrogen ions.
Lower numbers indicate more acidity with less potential for absorbing hydrogen ions. Our body pH is very important because pH controls the speed of our body's biochemical reactions. It does this by controlling the speed of enzyme activity as well as the speed that electricity moves through our body. The higher (more alkaline) the pH of a substance or solution, the more electrical resistance that substance or solution holds. Therefore, electricity travels slower with higher pH.

KeelyNet BBS Files w/bonus PDF of 'Keely and his Discoveries'
Finally, I've gotten around to compiling all the files (almost 1,000 - about 20MB and lots of work doing it) from the original KeelyNet BBS into a form you can easily navigate and read using your browser, ideally Firefox but it does work with IE. Most of these files are extremely targeted, interesting and informative, I had forgotten just how much but now you can have the complete organized, categorized set, not just sprinklings from around the web. They will keep you reading for weeks if not longer and give you clues and insights into many subjects and new ideas for investigation and research. IN ADDITION, I am including as a bonus gift, the book (in PDF form) that started it all for me, 'Keely and his Discoveries - Aerial Navigation' which includes the analysis of Keely's discoveries by Dr. Daniel G. Brinton. This 407 page eBook alone is worth the price of the KeelyNet BBS CD but it will give you some degree of understanding about what all Keely accomplished which is just now being rediscovered, but of course, without recognizing Keely as the original discoverer. Chapters include; Vibratory Sympathetic and Polar Flows, Vibratory Physics, Latent Force in Interstitial Spaces and much more. To give some idea of how Keely's discoveries are being slowly rediscovered in modern times, check out this Keely History. These two excellent bodies of information will be sent to you on CD. If alternative science intrigues and fascinates you, this CD is what you've been looking for...

'The Evolution of Matter' and 'The Evolution of Forces' on CD
Years ago, I had been told by several people, that the US government frequently removes books they deem dangerous or 'sensitive' from libraries. Some are replaced with sections removed or rewritten so as to 'contain' information that should not be available to the public despite the authors intent. A key example was during the Manhattan Project when the US was trying to finalize research into atomic bombs. They removed any books that dealt with the subject and two of them were by Dr. Gustave Le Bon since they dealt with both energy and matter including radioactivity. I had been looking for these two books for many years and fortunately stumbled across two copies for which I paid about $40.00 each. I couldn't put down the books once I started reading them. Such a wealth of original discoveries, many not known or remembered today. / Page 88 - Without the ether there could be neither gravity, nor light, nor electricity, nor heat, nor anything, in a word, of which we have knowledge. The universe would be silent and dead, or would reveal itself in a form which we cannot even foresee. If one could construct a glass chamber from which the ether were to be entirely eliminated, heat and light could not pass through it. It would be absolutely dark, and probably gravitation would no longer act on the bodies within it. They would then have lost their weight. / Page 96-97 - A material vortex may be formed by any fluid, liquid or gaseous, turning round an axis, and by the fact of its rotation it describes spirals. The study of these vortices has been the object of important researches by different scholars, notably by Bjerkness and Weyher. They have shown that by them can be produced all the attractions and repulsions recognized in electricity, the deviations of the magnetic needle by currents, etc. These vortices are produced by the rapid rotation of a central rod furnished with pallets, or, more simply, of a sphere. Round this sphere gaseous currents are established, dissymetrical with regard to its equatorial plane, and the result is the attraction or repulsion of bodies brought near to it, according to the position given to them. It is even possible, as Weyher has proved, to compel these bodies to turn round the sphere as do the satellites of a planet without touching it. / Page 149 - "The problem of sending a pencil of parallel Hertzian waves to a distance possesses more than a theoretical interest. It is allowable to say that its solution would change the course of our civilization by rendering war impossible. The first physicist who realizes this discovery will be able to avail himself of the presence of an enemy's ironclads gathered together in a harbour to blow them up in a few minutes, from a distance of several kilometres, simply by directing on them a sheaf of electric radiations. On reaching the metal wires with which these vessels are nowadays honeycombed, this will excite an atmosphere of sparks which will at once explode the shells and torpedoes stored in their holds. With the same reflector, giving a pencil of parallel radiations, it would not be much more difficult to cause the explosion of the stores of powder and shells contained in a fortress, or in the artillery sparks of an army corps, and finally the metal cartridges of the soldiers. Science, which at first rendered wars so deadly, would then at length have rendered them impossible, and the relations between nations would have to be established on new bases."

14 Ways to Save Money on Fuel Costs
This eBook is the result of years of research into various methods to increase mileage, reduce pollution and most importantly, reduce overall fuel costs. It starts out with the simplest methods and offers progressively more detailed technologies that have been shown to reduce fuel costs. As a bonus to readers, I have salted the pages with free interesting BONUS items that correlate to the relevant page. Just filling up with one tank of gas using this or other methods explained here will pay for this eBook. Of course, many more methods are out there but I provided only the ones which I think are practical and can be studied by the average person who is looking for a way to immediately reduce their fuel costs. I am currently using two of the easier methods in my own vehicle which normally gets 18-22 mpg and now gets between 28 and 32 mpg depending on driving conditions. A tank of gas for my 1996 Ford Ranger costs about $45.00 here so I am saving around $15-$20 PER TANK, without hurting my engine and with 'greener' emissions due to a cleaner burn! The techniques provided in this ebook begin with simple things you can do NOW to improve your mileage and lower your gas costs. - eBook Download / More Info
The Physics of the Primary State of Matter
The Physics of the Primary State of Matter - published in the 1930s, Karl Schappeller described his Prime Mover, a 10-inch steel sphere with quarter-inch copper tubing coils. These were filled with a material not named specifically, but which is said to have hardened under the influence of direct current and a magnetic field [electro-rheological fluid]. With such polarization, it might be guessed to act like a dielectric capacitor and as a diode...
