~ Quote of the day ~

Raison d'tre
KeelyNet "This is the true joy in life: To being used for a purpose recognized by yourself as a mighty one. To being a force of nature instead of a feverish selfish little clod of ailments and grievances complaining that the world will not devote itself to making you happy.

KeelyNet I am of the opinion that my life belongs to the whole community and as long as I live, it is my privilege to do for it whatever I can. I want to be thoroughly used up when I die. For the harder I work, the more I live.

I rejoice in life for its own sake. Life is no brief candle to me. It is a sort of splendid torch which I have got a hold of for the moment, and I want to make it burn as brightly as possible before handing it on to future generations."

10/30/16 - Voter Fraud all over the place

We all hear about voter fraud. With so many having cellphones there are lots of videos showing tricked up machines that change from Republican to Democrat, often with the voter not realizing their vote has been fraudulently changed. There are also many reports of votes from dead people and countless illegals and others who do not have the right to vote, trying their best to keep Trump from winning. - Voter Fraud all over the place

10/30/16 - Trump Demands That Obama Not Pardon Hillary!
Trump just elevated the intensity of the campaign to a new level. He gives specific information about donations to the Clinton Foundation and who the donors are. He is pushing the C Word, Clinton and Corruption! He directly demands that Obama not give a pardon to Hillary or the 5 people that got immunity.

It almost seems like Trump knows Hillary is about to be indicted and wants to warn Obama. At the 5:00 min mark he explodes. New accusations he has never said before today in a campaign speech! If she is elected she will put the oval office up for sale (pay for play)! It just shows that Trump is getting information from the FBI, NSA and others. They all hate Clinton so badly that they will never allow her to become president! The last 3 minutes are stunning in my opinion. It shows the true nature of Trump! - Trump Demands That Obama Not Pardon Hillary!

10/30/16 - Hillary To Obama: I Go Down, You Go Down
Early on in the Clinton turd tornado, Hillary warned everyone not to mess with her, bragged she would never be caught or convicted and very clearly said 'If I go down, you go down', smug that she has enough blackmail collected through decades of networking and abusing the data collection abilities of the FBI, CIA and IRS, that she could drop a bomb on anyone who dared post a threat to the Clinton criminal network. - Hillary To Obama: I Go Down, You Go Down

Fox News just dropped the bombshell on Hillary. As we reported a week ago the National ENQUIRER broke the news about Hillarys hitman. Well now he has gone public on national television on the Sean Hannity show. His name is Jeff Rovin. As The ENQUIRER reported, Rovin was the Clintons hidden Mr. Fix It, working 24/7 to silence any hint of a scandal surrounding the couple. - Hillary's darkest secret just exposed on FOX as Clinton's 'fixer' finally revealed!

10/30/16 - Report from Brilliant Light Power Industry Day Event
I was up at BLP yesterday for their most recent demonstration and the unveiling of the new version of the SunCell. This time the event was slightly different in that it was called Industry Day and featured a range of speakers, not just Mills. BLP has formed outside advisory committees and is clearly planning to be ready to market SunCells by the end of 2017 or soon thereafter if all goes well. Mills seems to have gotten by the electrode melting problem with a very elegant solution involving two charged streams of silver and now has prototypes running in his labs for long periods. They are shut off at night. As there are no moving parts, he sees no reliability problems. They have designed these things to run non-stop for 20 years.

Where all this puts Rossi and LENR is a good question. If the SunCell works as advertised, and is ready for market within the next 18 months he will have a major head start with a device that can produce lots of electricity.

There are too many aspects to all this to include here. It would take a book. For example, the SunCell does not seem to take more than 20 watts to run after it melts the silver which can stay melted for 20 years. If the cell is producing megawatts of power, the notion of a COP is simply silly. The ratio is hundreds of thousands to one.

Huge caveat with this since its Mills who has been making promises for years, starting with his hydrino and never any of it makes it to the real world but they come up with new stunts for new investors. They are saying 18 months for this, but based on Mills history, I wouldn't bet on it. - JWD - Report from Brilliant Light Power Industry Day Event

10/30/16 - Let Researchers Try New Paths
Writing for Nature journal, scientists and professors Tolu Oni, Fabio Sciarrino, Gerardo Adesso, and Rob Knight, discuss an issue researchers have been facing a lot lately. The scientific enterprise is stuck in a catch-22, they say. Researchers are charged with advancing promising new questions, but receive support and credit only for revisiting their past work.

They say that often times while examining one thing researchers are able to uncover several other important things, but deviating from the path is something frowned upon for various reasons among the industry.

From the article (condensed): Most striking are the barriers to achieving impact. Our research often led us to questions that had greater potential than our original focus, typically because these new directions encompassed the complexities of society. We realized that changing tack could lead to more important work, but the policies of research funders and institutions consistently discourage such pivots.

When reviewers assess grants or academic performance, they focus largely on track records in a particular field. Young scientists, who must focus on developing their careers, are thus discouraged from exploration. Our own experiences provide a glimpse of the well-intentioned forces that can keep researchers from trying other paths. This challenge is not new.

Physicist-turned-structural biologist Venkatraman Ramakrishnan, who is president of the Royal Society, worked for several years in a job with funding that was contingent on a steady stream of publications. This forced him to ask safe but incremental questions. To pursue what became his Nobel-prizewinning work (on the structure of the ribosome), he moved to another institution where he could ask the questions that interested him, irrespective of the chances for publication. As he describes in his Nobel biography, the decision required an international move and a large pay cut. - Let Researchers Try New Paths

10/30/16 - Uber's 'Elevate' project aims to bring flying electric cars to cities by 2026
The company published a white paper today outlining its plans for Uber Elevate, a network of on-demand electric aircraft. Known as VTOL aircraft short for Vertical Take-Off and Landing the aircraft would be used to shorten commute times in busy cities, turning a two-hour drive into a 15-minute trip.

According to a piece out from Wired on the new plans, Uber doesn't plan to build the aircraft themselves. The ride-hailing company will bring together private companies and the government to deal with the larger issues of making this project a reality, Wired reports. The vehicles would be able to travel at about 150 mph for up to 100 miles and carry multiple people, including a pilot, according to Wired. While the first vehicles will be ready by 2021, the expected roll-out date is 2026.

The military already uses VTOL technology for its own aircraft. The planes rise in the air like helicopters but are still capable of flying at high speeds.

Uber says the project will have "significant cost advantages" over other modes of solving transportation problems, like building new roads, bridges, or tunnels. The company suggests parking garages and helipads could be repurposed to be used as "vertipods" and "vertistops." Uber says that since the planes don't need to follow set routes, it would help avoid congestion and improve commute times. Eventually, the planes will be self-flying. - Uber's 'Elevate' project aims to bring flying electric cars to cities by 2026

10/30/16 - World Wildlife Falls By 58% in 40 years
Global wildlife populations have fallen by 58% since 1970, BBC reports citing The Living Planet assessment by the Zoological Society of London (ZSL) and WWF. The report adds that if the trend continues, the decline would reach two-thirds among vertebrates by 2020. The figures suggest that animals living in lakes, rivers and wetlands are suffering the biggest losses. Human activity, including habitat loss, wildlife trade, pollution and climate change contributed to the declines.

From the report: Dr Mike Barrett. head of science and policy at WWF, said: "It's pretty clear under 'business as usual' we will see continued declines in these wildlife populations. But I think now we've reached a point where there isn't really any excuse to let this carry on.

This analysis looked at 3,700 different species of birds, fish, mammals, amphibians and reptiles - about 6% of the total number of vertebrate species in the world. The team collected data from peer-reviewed studies, government statistics and surveys collated by conservation groups and NGOs.

10/30/16 - Renewables Overtake Coal As World's Largest Source of Power Capacity
The world's largest source of power capacity is now renewables, as roughly half a million solar panels were installed every single day last year. In addition, two wind turbines were erected every hour in countries such as China, according to the International Energy Agency. Financial Times reports (Editor's note: may be paywalled; alternate source):

Although coal and other fossil fuels remain the largest source of electricity generation, many conventional power utilities and energy groups have been confounded by the speed at which renewables have grown and the rapid drop in costs for the technologies. Average global generation costs for new onshore wind farms fell by an estimated 30 percent between 2010 and 2015 while those for big solar panel plants fell by an even steeper two-thirds, an IEA report published on Tuesday showed.

The Paris-based agency thinks costs are likely to fall even further over the next five years, by 15 percent on average for wind and by a quarter for solar power. It said an unprecedented 153 gigawatts of green electricity was installed last year, mostly wind and solar projects, which has more than the total power capacity in Canada.

It was also more than the amount of conventional fossil fuel or nuclear power added in 2015, leading renewables to surpass coal's cumulative share of global power capacity -- though not electricity generation. A power plant's capacity is the maximum amount of electricity it can potentially produce.

The amount of energy a plant actually generates varies according to how long it produces power over a period of time. Coal power plants supplied close to 39 percent of the world's power in 2015, while renewables, including old hydropower dams, accounted for 23 percent, IEA data show. But the agency expects renewables' share of power generation to rise to 28 percent by 2021, when it predicts they will supply the equivalent of all the electricity generated today in the U.S. and E.U. combined. - Renewables Overtake Coal As World's Largest Source of Power Capacity

10/30/16 - Blood is helping us make the next generation of batteries
A discovery that using a molecule that transports oxygen in the blood can improve battery power has been made by a Yale led research group. The study is detailed in Nature Communications.

The laboratory of Andre Taylor, Yale associate professor of chemical and environmental engineering, identified that the heme found in blood could function as a feasible catalyst that would prevent the precipitate from forming. Heme is a macromolecule that carries oxygen in the blood, and is also responsible for the bloods distinct red color.

Taylors group demonstrated that the heme molecule improved the lithium-oxygen batterys function by lowering the energy barrier of the reaction, effectively decreasing the reaction cycles that produced electricity. In other words, the vital reaction occurring in the battery between lithium and oxygen was made easier by the hemes transport capabilities.

The discovery is a profound breakthrough that hits two birds with a stone: battery power is maximized while waste from butcheries are upcycled. Were using a biomolecule that traditionally is just wasted, said Taylor. In the animal products industry, they have to figure out some way to dispose of the blood. Here, we can take the heme molecules from these waste products and use it for renewable energy storage. - Blood is helping us make the next generation of batteries

10/20/16 - Scientists unveil proposal for independent 'space nation' to explore space law, protect Earth
KeelyNet A team of scientists, engineers and lawyers have unveiled a proposal for an independent "space nation" named Asgardia, comprised of satellites to create a "independent platform free from the constraint of a land-based country's laws". Named after one of the worlds inhabited by the gods in Norse mythology, the new nation would hopefully be a future member of the United Nations, according to project leader and founder of the Aerospace International Research Centre Dr Igor Ashurbeyli.

Initially, the nation would consist of a single satellite to be launched next year which would comprise the nation itself rather than being owned by any existing Earthly country. People can sign up as citizens and would live on Earth in their own countries, being citizens of both their own country and Asgardia.

Dr Ashurbeyli said the project aimed to open up conversations about laws and regulation surrounding space activity, adding: "'Universal space law' and 'astropolitics' have to replace international space law and geopolitics." It also aims to provide a "demilitarised and free scientific base of knowledge in space" and to "protect Earth from space threats", including asteroids and space junk, by creating a protective shield. "The essence of Asgardia is peace in space, and the prevention of Earth's conflicts being transferred into space," Dr Ashurbeyli told a press conference in Paris.

"Asgardia is also unique from a philosophical aspect to serve entire humanity and each and every one, regardless of his or her personal welfare and the prosperity of the country where they happened to be born. "Today, many of the problems relating to space law are unresolved and may never be solved in the complex and contradictory dark woods of modern international law. Geopolitical squabbles have a great influence, and are often rooted in the old military history and unresolvable conflicts of countries on Earth. "It is time to create a new judicial reality in space."

Asgardia is currently being funded privately, but will make use of crowd funding and sourcing in the future, Dr Ashurbeyli said. While the project does not currently include plans to actually send people to live in space aboard the satellites, he told The Guardian Asgardia was "laying the foundations to make that possible in the distant future". "Is it pioneering, futuristic and visionary or madness? Call it what you will, and time will tell," he said. - Scientists unveil proposal for independent 'space nation' to explore space law, protect Earth

10/20/16 - Scientific Breakthrough Increases Plant Yields By One Third
"Plant scientists have found a way to encourage plants to better use atmospheric nitrogen, thus increasing yields by more than one third. The technique not only produces healthier plants and more seeds, it reduces the need for fertilizer, the overuse of which can be an environmental issue."

From WSU News: For years, scientists have tried to increase the rate of nitrogen [conversion] in legumes by altering...interactions that take place between the bacterioid and the root nodule cells. [Washington State University biologist Mechthild] Tegeder took a different approach:

She increased the number of proteins that help move nitrogen from the rhizobia bacteria to the plant's leaves, seed-producing organs and other areas where it is needed. The additional transport proteins sped up the overall export of nitrogen from the root nodules.

This initiated a feedback loop that caused the rhizobia to start fixing more atmospheric nitrogen, which the plant then used to produce more seeds. "They are bigger, grow faster and generally look better than natural soybean plants," Tegeder said. - Scientific Breakthrough Increases Plant Yields By One Third

10/20/16 - Quantum Theory Suggests Consciousness Moves on After Death
In 2010, one of the most respected scientists in the world, Robert Lanza, published a book titled Biocentrism: How Life and Consciousness are the Keys to Understanding The True Nature of the Universe. An expert in regenerative medicine and the scientific director of Advanced Cell Technology Company, Lanza is also very interested in quantum mechanics and astrophysics, an interest that led him on a path to developing his theory of biocentrism: the theory that life and consciousness are fundamental to understanding the nature of our reality, and that consciousness comes prior to the creation of the material universe.

His theory implies that our consciousness does not die with us, but rather moves on, and this suggests that consciousness is not a product of the brain. It is something else entirely, and modern science is only beginning to understand what that might be. This theory is best illustrated by the quantum double slit experiment. Its is a great example that documents how factors associated with consciousness and our physical material world are connected in some way; that the observer creates the reality. Physicists are being forced to admit that the universe could be a mental construction, or at the very least, that consciousness plays a fundamental role in the creation of matter.

R.C. Henry, Professor of Physics and Astronomy at Johns Hopkins University wrote in a 2005 publication for the journal Nature: According to [pioneering physicist] Sir James Jeans: the stream of knowledge is heading towards a non-mechanical reality; the Universe begins to look more like a great thought than like a great machine. Mind no longer appears to be an accidental intruder into the realm of matter we ought rather hail it as the creator and governor of the realm of matter. . . . The Universe is immaterial mental and spiritual. Live, and enjoy.

Lanzas theory implies that if the body generates consciousness, then consciousness dies when the body dies. But if the body receives consciousness in the same way that a cable box receives satellite signals, then of course consciousness does not end at the death of the physical vehicle. This is an example thats commonly used to describe the enigma of consciousness. The double slit experiment has shown repeatedly that observations not only disturb what has to be measured, they produce it. . . . We compel [the electron] to assume a definite position. . . . We ourselves produce the results of measurement. (source)

The idea that we could be living in a holographic-type of universe is not so far-fetched, and if the observer is required for physical matter to manifest, then the observer must exist before the physical body. The hypothesis that the brain creates consciousness dominates the mainstream materialistic world of science, despite the wealth of evidence showing that the brain (and our entire physical reality, for that matter) could be a product of consciousness.

Below is a great quote to illustrate what is meant by material science. The modern scientific worldview is predominantly predicated on assumptions that are closely associated with classical physics. Materialismthe idea that matter is the only realityis one of these assumptions. A related assumption is reductionism, the notion that complex things can be understood by reducing them to the interactions of their parts, or to simpler or more fundamental things such as tiny material particles. Manifesto for a Post-Materialist Science

Examining the neurochemical processes in the brain that occur when one is having a subjective experience is important, and does offer certain insights. It tells us that when this type of experience is happening, that is going on in the brain. But it does not prove that the neurochemical processes are producing the experience. What if the experience itself is producing the neurochemical processes?

Determining how consciousness causes matter to materialize is our next step. One thing is for certain, however; with all of the information out there postulating the existence of consciousness as independent from the brain, its time to push the boundaries of our current accepted framework of knowledge and question what we think we know. The implications of this theory are immense. Just imagine if life after death were confirmed by the mainstream scientific community how much would this impact not only our understanding of science, but also philosophy, religion, and many other areas of our lives? - Quantum Theory Suggests Consciousness Moves on After Death

10/20/16 - Robot journalists to start writing news and sports stories
Robot journalists are set to start working at Britain and Ireland's national news agency. Non-human hacks will be rolled out to cover sports, football and elections for the Press Association in the next few months. The cybernetic scribes will be "more accurate" than flesh and blood journos in some cases, according to PA's editor in chief Pete Clifton. Addressing the Society of Editors conference in Carlisle this morning, Mr Clifton said: This wont be replacing any of our fantastic journalists, it will be more a case of offering an extra level when it comes to short market reports, election results and football reporting."

The PA boss was asked whether the robot reporters would be vulnerable to pranksters. He said the agency would be "taking very small steps in this area, the Press Gazette reported.

A Danish news agency was already using robots to write hundreds of market reports, he added. They are more accurate than when somebody was trying to write too many stories on their own," he said. When asked weather androids would replace human hacks, Mr Clifton said: "Of course [they] wont - we wont have a robot going to a big fire or covering a crown court case. Press Association has recently invested in a 360 degree camera and a drone - Robot journalists to start writing news and sports stories

    10/20/16 - About drugs
KeelyNet Back around 1998, three of us took a trip to Egypt to do an experiment on one the great pyramid. While there, for tourist time, we chose not to take the pre-package tourist trips in order to see and experience the real Egypt. We met a guide at the pyramid who hooked us up with his cousin, a man of great respect and local power. He arranged for the bribes to provide us with full access to the pyramids and inside, even for us to climb to the top at night for 5 hours to measure the changing magnetic fields.

Our guide suggested we rent a taxi which would take us anywhere we wanted and assist us with admissions and such for just $12US per day including gas. Our driver was Mr. Habashi who spoke some english. Short, chubby man, very happy and fun to be with and a fountain of information about Cairo.

He took us to the old El Kalili mall which was remarkably like an Aladdin background. We spent a couple of hours there and then driving around to various mosques, churches and a visit to the Citadel. As well, the Cairo Museum and other places that interested us.

I asked Mr. Habashi about the famed opium dens. He looked sad and said they were all gone. He drove us by these giant decaying buildings which he said were where men would spend days smoking opium and hashish. He said it was a wonderful time with almost no crime and people were very happy. You pick a place to lie down among the many couches, chairs, etc...and young men and girls would attend you for your opium and other needs and they had guards to make sure there were no problems.

Mr. Habashi said everyone very much liked the old opium dens much better than the drugs and pills sold to the public these days. He said once the Eqyptian government was militarized, they banned all use of opium and hashish in order to force people to use american made uppers and downers.

When that happened, they had all kinds of crime and horrific behaviour like chopping people up. Mr. Habashi said people smoking opium just wanted to experience the dreams and hallucinations, but these new pills stimulated their brains and nervous system so much that they went crazy and caused a lot of problems. He hinted they acted as pathway for the jinn to invade a willing body to make people do stupid and violent things. 10/20/16 - Don't believe the rigged polls
KeelyNet The polls are bogus running at roughly 40% per candidate. Yet we see Trumps rallies with 15,000-30,000 people and Hillarys with 300-1000. This is the same thing they pulled before the BREXIT vote trying to convince people that no one wanted it, when most actually did.

Take heart, Mates. All is not lost. The fat lady has not yet sung. There is obviously a strong undercurrent for Trump that is ignored or missed, or just underreported by the pollsters. He has not won the election, yet, but I have a good feeling that he will by, and on, November 8. Keep your eyes open and keep spreading the good words for him and all of the downstream Republicans. He will need Senate and House majorities. (State and local officials also,)

INFO VERIFIED - CHECK IT OUT IF YOU LIKE - Donald Trump has been taking names and not taking prisoners. He is killing Hillary Clinton and has even had to do it by going up against the media's rigged polls. The following five statistics that prove that Trump is really winning.

Let's take a look at the facts that the media completely ignores or covers up. Instead, they have been giving Clinton the lead despite the fact that she can't get anyone to even show up to her rallies. Clinton Rally In Omaha where she used mostly High School kids to fill the gym where a lot of her statements were incorrectly read from her teleprompter.

FACT #1: Trump has nearly three times the amount of followers on Facebook. Trump: 12,174,358 likes. Clinton: 4,385,959 likes. Look what Trump's live stream videos do when compared to Hillary's. Trump Live Stream Post 21 hours ago: 135,000 likes, 18,167 shares, 1.5 million views. Clinton Live Stream Post 25 hours ago: 9,000 likes, 0 shares, 121,000 views. That does not look good at all for her!

Fact #2: Trump has 18.6 million twitter followers. Hillary Clinton has only 6.1 million. The best part is that most of Hillary's are actually fake. According to the Washington Examiner, 41% of Hillary's "followers" are not even real people. In contrast, The Daily Caller says that Trump's followers are 90% real with 90% of them having a previous voting record.

Fact #3: Trump averages 160k viewers per live stream. Clinton averages 400 viewers per live stream. Wow. That is bad. Trump also gets 5,000 percent more eyeballs focused on the screen than Clinton. Yep. She really is that boring to the folks.

Fact #4: Instagram. Trump has 6.2 million followers. Clinton has 800,000 followers. Instagram is a platform with mostly all pictures and not much substance exactly what Hillary supporters love. And still she does very poorly in this medium.

Fact #5: On Reddit. Trump: 297,696 subscribers. Clinton: 21,429 subscribers. But on Hillary for Prison: she gets 255,228 subscribers. Trump has more subscribers than Clinton on every major social media outlet but what is even funnier is that there are nearly 3 times as many people subscribed to "Hillary for Prison" than there are subscribed to the Clinton page. The best part is that the DNC's leaked emails from WikiLeaks have proven that Clinton pays people to support her online. Trump supporters on the other hand willingly actually like and follow him on Social media.

Trump actually has the support of the people. He is going to win this election come November no matter what the mainstream media would like you to believe.

Right now, every single patriot needs to share this article with friends and relatives. We need to fight these rigged polls that seem to come out every day. Hillary Clinton has a big bag of tricks and is trying to trick the American public into voting for her. Let's show America the truth. - Don't believe the rigged polls

    10/20/16 - Graphene-Fed Silkworms Produce a Super-Strong Silk That Conducts Electricity
Graphene, a carbon nanoparticle considered a miracle material, has shown massive potential in energy, electronics, medicine, and more. Silkworms, the larvae of silk moths, spin their threads from silk proteins produced in their salivary glands, so a study led by Yingying Zhang from Tsinghua University examined the effects of adding graphene to the silkworms diet of mulberry leaves.

The researchers sprayed mulberry leaves with aqueous solutions containing 0.2 percent by weight of either carbon nanotubes or graphene, and then collected the silk after the worms spun their cocoons. Collecting the as-spun silk fibers is standard in silk production, so feeding the silkworms the carbon nanotubes and graphene was a much simpler method than treating regular silk with the nanomaterials dissolved in chemical solvents after collection.

According to the study, the carbon-enhanced silk was twice as tough as regular silk and could withstand at least 50 percent higher stress before breaking. Zhangs team tested conductivity and structure after heating the silk fibers at 1,050C (1,922F) to carbonize the silk protein, and unlike untreated silk, the carbon-enhanced silk conducted electricity. Additionally, spectroscopy and microscopic imaging showed that the modified silk fibers had a more ordered crystal structure. - Graphene-Fed Silkworms Produce a Super-Strong Silk That Conducts Electricity

10/20/16 - The betting pattern that signals a Trump presidency isn't as remote as the world thinks
It is news that will strike fear into the hearts of perhaps half of America and large chunks of the world outside of it. Despite a calamitous week of campaigning, betting markets on the US election are almost a mirror image of those on Britains EU referendum at this stage. And they could be pointing to a victory for Donald Trump. Bookmaker William Hill says 71 per cent of the money so far staked is for Democrat Hillary Clinton. But 65 per cent of the bets by number are for the controversial Republican.

John Mappin, the hotelier and part of the family that founded jeweller Mappin & Webb, stands to make 103,000 from the bookie should Trump win. Mr Mappin, who owns Camelot Castle in Cornwall, has already made a substantial profit from backing him to take the Republican nomination at 20-1.

Ive only ever placed one bet this one, he told The Independent. Explaining that his conviction was based on conversations with Americans and his experience working in the country, he continued: I was on baby duty with my son when I watched Mr Trump announce his candidacy. I saw the media had got it wrong. They were saying the guy has no chance. They were saying hes doing this for a joke. Thats not the case. His supporters, theyve been watching media bullshit for years and they see through it. Polls are very rarely reliable. I am more confident than ever that Mr Trump will win. - The betting pattern that signals a Trump presidency isn't as remote as the world thinks

10/20/16 - Robots Have Learned to Pool Their Experience to Acquire Basic Motor Skills
While robots can be coded to acquire knowledge for themselves through machine learning, it would take far too long for a single robot to acquire enough experience to actually be helpful with many complex real-world tasks. To address this, several studies have explored the possibility of building a computer hive mind through which robots could pool their experiences and learn from each other, and three such experiments were recounted on the Google Research Blog.

One study gave robots a chance to learn from raw experience. They were given a task that they were allowed to solve on a trial-and-error basis (opening a door). Successes and failures were pooled in a central server, the set of commands that yielded the best results were sent back to the robots, and the cycle continued until the task was mastered.

Instead of building on raw experience, another study programmed the robots to build a predictive model from their shared experience, which could then be used to perform the task. Those robots were allowed to interact freely with objects on a table, share their experiences with each other, and together build a single predictive model that attempted to forecast what the world might look like in response to their future actions.

The model used by the third study was the most effective: learning with human help. As the name suggests, humans guided robots in performing the task (again, opening a door), providing context in the action. The robots were quickly able to master and cope with increasingly complicated variations of the task using this method.

Despite the varying degrees of success, all three of the studies concluded the same thing: robots are able to learn more efficiently and effectively when they are allowed to communicate and pool their experiences. While the things that robots can successfully learn to do today are limited, the knowledge that a robot hive mind can drastically cut down learning times could lead to a huge leap forward in robot intelligence. For example, while one robot would need years to gather the 1.5 million labeled examples used by ImageNet, multiple robots could gather it over a few weeks.

In addition to improving speed, the hive could also provide robots with a wider variety of experiences. A real-world deployment might involve multiple robots in different places and different settings, sharing heterogeneous, varied experiences to build a single highly generalizable representation, explains the researchers on Googles blog. Insights gained from experiments like the above will help us determine how best to utilize robots within our daily lives as algorithms and technology advances. 10/15/16 - 60 Years Ago Aldous Huxley Predicted How Global Freedom Would Perish
    Huxley, as introduced by Wallace:

A man haunted by a vision of hell on earth. A searing social critic, Mr. Huxley 27 years ago wrote Brave New World, a novel that predicted that someday the entire world would live under a frightful dictatorship. Today Mr. Huxley says that his fictional world of horror is probably just around the corner for all of us. ~Mike Wallace

As the world now sleepwalks into a third world war which will certain bring about a nuclear holocaust, Huxleys message is more important than ever because it serves as a reminder that a critically thinking individual is the truest and most formidable weapon against the destructive and psychopathic tendencies of tyrants.

10/15/16 - This Pre-Fab Tiny Home Can Travel Anywhere Its Owners Go

This tiny home has been outfitted with off-grid capabilities and can be deconstructed for transport in as little as 4 hours. Tiny homes are all the rage nowadays, but few allow their owners to live a mobile lifestyle like an RV or renovated bus might. To present an alternative solution, Estonian design collective Kodasema created KODA, a tiny prefabricated home that can move anywhere its owners go.

The KODA tiny home has been outfitted with off-grid capabilities and can be disassembled and prepped for relocation in a short period of time. In as little as four hours, one can deconstruct their tiny house and move on to the next location! The portable home is primarily made of concrete and is constructed with factory-made components chosen for their strength and energy-efficient properties. Inhabitat relays that the intelligent materials ensure the structure remains sturdy and can be assembled on varying surfaces without need for a foundation.

It might only be 25-square meters in size, but the KODA home has been intelligently designed to make use of its limited space. A full-height glazing has been slightly set back to make room for a built-in terrace. This shields the interior from a harsh solar gain. Additionally, the design affords privacy, as the kitchen, bathroom and loft are all located in the rear of the home. LEDs light up the KODA home at night and rooftop solar panels power the unit to lower ones carbon footprint. If the 25-square-foot home is too small for you, keep in mind that each prefab home is modular and can be connected to another to create a larger living space.

The homes will be sold in Estonia starting later this fall and will go for about 85,000 ( 85000 Euro equals 93249.25 US Dollar ) (VAT not included). Add-ons including furniture and technical systems will affect the final price. The design collective has not yet announced plans to sell KODA internationally. - This Pre-Fab Tiny Home Can Travel Anywhere Its Owners Go

10/15/16 - Meet the Restaurant Run by Robots
Robot automation is a rapidly rising trend in many major manufacturing areas, from cars to construction to clothing, and bots are also taking over customer service jobs, like retail assistant or even food deliverer. Now, one startup is putting robots somewhere relatively new: the kitchen.

Zume Pizza in Mountain View, California, is letting robots make their pizzas and reducing labor costs in the process. To be specific, Zume is having robots take over the tasks humans traditionally have difficulty doing. These robots spread sauce evenly and work the 426C (800F) oven, a workplace hazard for humans. The delivery-only company has also built a delivery van with a robot that can cook 56 pizzas en route to the customer, ensuring freshness.

The robots have allowed the startup to produce 288 pizzas an hour, and thats with humans still contributing to the process. Zume expects full automation by March 2017.

Zume is but one of the many startups placing robots in the kitchen robots are slicing noodles, putting together sandwiches, and even making burgers at restaurants worldwide but what this company is doing differently is creating a technology-driven business model that expertly manages the job security fears brought on by robot automation. - Meet the Restaurant Run by Robots

KeelyNet A rookie police officer pulled a biker over for speeding and had the following exchange:

Officer: May I see your driver's license?
Biker: I don't have one. I had it suspended when I got my 5th DUI.

Officer: May I see the owner's card for this vehicle?
Biker: It's not my bike. I stole it.

    Officer: The motorcycle is stolen?
Biker: That's right. But come to think of it, I think I saw the owner's card in the tool bag when I was putting my gun in there.

Officer: There's a gun in the tool bag?
Biker: Yes sir. That's where I put it after I shot and killed the dude who owns this bike and stuffed his dope in the saddle bags.

Officer: There's drugs in the saddle bags too?!?!?
Biker: Yes, sir. Hearing this, the rookie immediately called his captain. The biker was quickly surrounded by police, and the captain approached the biker to handle the tense situation:

Captain: Sir, can I see your license?
Biker: Sure. Here it is. It was valid.

    Captain: Who's motorcycle is this?
Biker: It's mine, officer. Here's the registration.

Captain: Could you slowly open your tool bag so I can see if there's a gun in it?
Biker: Yes, sir, but there's no gun in it. Sure enough, there was nothing in the tool bag.

Captain: Would you mind opening your saddle bags? I was told you said there's drugs in them.
Biker: No problem. The saddle bags were opened; no drugs.

Captain: I don't understand it. The officer who stopped you said you told him you didn't have a license, stole this motorcycle, had a gun in the tool bag, and that there were drugs in the saddle bags.

10/15/16 - Maxwell's Hole - An exceptionally elegant "Theory of Everything"
KeelyNet In this article, we will make the mathematical case that there is a hole in Maxwell's equations which should not be there, given that we started with the same basic hypothesis as Maxwell did: A physical, fluid-like medium called "aether" exists.

Maxwell did not explicitly use this underlying hypothesis, but abstracted it away. This leads to a mathematically inconsistent model wherein, for example, units of measurements do not match in his definition for the electric potential field.

By correcting this obvious flaw in the model and extending it with a definition for the gravity field, we obtain a simple, elegant, complete and mathematically consistent "theory of everything" without "gauge freedom", the fundamental theoretical basis for Quantum Weirdness which we must therefore reject.

...This way, gravity is described as being standing longitudinal waves. And as you would expect, this matches exactly to experimental data in so called Cymatics experiments, which show how this works in water and other fluids. This picture makes clear that gravity should indeed be considered to be standing longitudinal waves...

By working out standard textbook fluid dynamic vector theory for an ideal, compressible, non-viscous Newtonian fluid, we have established that Maxwell's equations are mathematically inconsistent, given that these are supposed to describe the electromagnetic field from the aether hypothesis. Since our effort is a direct extension of Paul Stowe and Barry Mingst' aether model, we have come to a complete mathematically consistent "field theory of everything". And we found "Maxwell's hole" to be the original flaw in the standard model that led to both relativity and Quantum Mechanics, which should thus both be rejected. - Maxwell's Hole - An exceptionally elegant "Theory of Everything"

10/15/16 - Trees Communicate and Form Relationships
A forester and scientist have been studying communication between trees for decades; their incredible observations can be seen in the new documentary, Intelligent Trees. Trees have feelings. They can feel pain, but can also have emotions, such as fear. Trees like to stand close together and cuddle.

There is in fact friendship among trees. These are just a few of the wonderful observations made by tree whisperer, Peter Wohlleben, the German forester extraordinaire and best-selling author of The Hidden Life of Trees.

When I wrote about Wohlleben earlier this year (Trees in the forest are social beings), I was floored by how his work resonated with tree-loving me. Here was an established forester with a proven track record of improving forest health and loads of scientific research under his belt swooning about trees as if they were people.

These trees are friends. You see how the thick branches point away from each other? Thats so they dont block their buddys light. And while some biologists might kvetch about this anthropomorphizing, Wohlleben counters: I use a very human language. Scientific language removes all the emotion, and people dont understand it anymore. When I say, Trees suckle their children, everyone knows immediately what I mean. Indeed. - Trees Communicate and Form Relationships

10/10/16 - Electric Dragster Sets Land Speed Record: 341 Mph
This Monday out on the Bonneville Salt Flats of Utah, an electric vehicle broke the land speed record for EVs with a two-way average speed of 341 mph. The vehicle, called the Venturi Buckeye Bullet-3, or VBB-3, was developed and built by a team of engineers from Monaco-based Venturi Automobiles and The Ohio State University. The third iteration of the Buckeye Bullet uses two electric motors that can put out 1,500 horsepower (1,119kW) apiece, powered by eight lithium-ion battery packs.

Its two motors sharing a cooling system and a common shaft, former OSU graduate student and team leader David Cooke told Ars Technica back in February. It makes more manufacturing sense to build smaller motors and couple them together than trying to build one big motor. Today that motor is putting out about 1,000 horsepower in the dyno, but its capable of 1,500.

The OSU-Venturi team has been chasing 400 mph for more than half a decade now. They set the previous EV land speed record at 308 mph back in 2010, but poor salt conditions and mechanical challenges have prevented them from besting that record until now. Last year, the team was forced to abandon their attempt at a new record after a bumpy track caused a welding crack in the coolant tank of VBB-3. - Electric Dragster Sets Land Speed Record: 341 Mph

The Ocean Cleanup just completed its first aerial reconnaissance scan of the Great Pacific Garbage Patch to assess how serious the problem of ocean plastic has become and the results are worse than anyone expected. At a press conference in Mountain View, California, teenage inventor, CEO and founder Boyan Slat announced that the organization spotted over 1000 large pieces of plastic debris in just 2 hours.

They reported their initial findings, confirming the expected overabundance of plastic waste between the size of .5 meter or 1.5 feet and larger in the ocean garbage patch. While the crew only flew across the northern boundary of the patch for 2.5 hours, they still spotted over one thousand items.

The floating trash ranges from tiny microscopic plastic particles, to water bottles, plastic forks and spoons, plastic bags, to much larger chunks that can be over 1 meter across including discarded fishing debris such as buoys and Ghost Nets. Ghost Nets are discarded nets, often many meters in diameter, which are notorious for ensnaring both sea life and ship propellers. - Worlds first ocean trash recon mission is complete

Reeling from oil crises of the 1970s, the American auto industry grappled with tough new mileage standards they feared could make their gas guzzlers obsolete. In 1978, Exxon presented manufacturers with a novel solution from its own labs: a device to help power the electric motors of hybrid vehicles.

"The future of the full-sized car was questionable -- until now," according to a glossy brochure Exxon printed for the pitch. Exxon said its technology "is not in developmental stages; it is ready now. The prototype has been engineered, tested, driven, proven."

Exxon by then was at least four years into pioneering research to find alternatives to gasoline-powered cars, driven by worries that petroleum would soon run out. The company had already unveiled the first rechargeable lithium-ion battery, which it thought could be a precursor of batteries for electric vehicles. Now, Exxon hoped its new electric drive technology could make mass production of hybrids feasible. - Exxon Pioneered the Electric Car Drivetrain in the 1970sand Then It Was Abandoned

10/10/16 - Weapons of the future: Weather, plasma and money
The first question about the military future of humanity is definitely connected with wars. One may not say that there will be absolutely no wars in the future. According to scientific calculations, about 15,000 wars have taken place on the planet during the recent 5,5 thousand years. More than 3.5 billion people have been killed in the wars. There were only 292 peaceful years in the entire history of the mankind. There is no reason to believe that something will change in the future. The human civilization is based on aggressiveness and war. Huge funds have been spent on armies and defense industries - the inseparable part of the modern economy of any country. Unfortunately, the situation will be preserved in the 21st century too.

According to experts' estimates, a global war is likely to happen in the future as well - it will be 30 percent likely to occur. In addition to nuclear, chemical, biological weapons, there will be more sophisticated weapons of mass destruction used - they are currently being developed in secret laboratories.

It has recently transpired that Russian scientists are working on the so-called plasma weapon. Academician Avramenko says, the plasma weapon will be capable of repulsing air and even space attacks. The controllable bunch of power created with the help of powerful ground lasers can destroy any aircraft and any missile when it approaches a defended area. It is a horrible weapon, although it has several disadvantages too. Ground generators can be easily detected and then destroyed. Probably, people will use autonomous and solar weapons in the future. The solar weapon was used already in the III century B.C. when Greek mathematician Archimedes burnt the Roman fleet with the help of mirrors and the sun. Unfortunately, such weapon stops working in bad weather. However, mirrors can be taken to space to avoid the weather problem. The temperature in the center of the focused solar current can reach thousands of degrees. Such a powerful ray can reach the ground from space through thick layer of clouds. This weapon will be capable of melting and burning any target. However, this weapon has a rather big disadvantage: it destroys everything on a large area around the target, like an A-bomb. A winner does not need the burnt barren land.

A neutron bomb is a lot better in this respect, because it kills every living being, but non-living objects remain intact. Yet, there is no use of a town if there are no people there. Genetic poison will probably be used in the future as the most optimal variant to destroy a part of the population, even a certain specific part. Each human race has an individual genetic code. Genetic differences may lay the ground of the genetic weapon. It will be possible to create genetic viruses to exterminate a certain group of people on the planet.

Terrorism of the 21st century will enter the new technological level too. As it is well known, spy satellites can read the title of a newspaper on the ground. A laser of a killer satellite can destroy any target on the Earth's surface, which is rather convenient for large terrorist acts - it will not be possible to identify the "nation" of the satellite, because a laser can be shot from any location in space filled with other countries' satellites.

New discoveries and technologies will be gradually coming out of secret laboratories. Most probable weapons of the future include: Bioelectronical weapon. Professor G.Bogdanov patented the generator to fight termites. The generator's radiation kills insects paralyzing their nerve system. One shall assume, a certain frequency of the appliance can kill people too.

Meteorological weapon. It is possible to make specified weather on a specified territory changing the electric charge of the air. Hard rains, droughts, blizzards can cause a very serious damage to an enemy. It is known that Russian scientists were working in the field of the meteorological war in the city of Obninsk.

Tectonic weapon. Artificial earthquakes will probably be used in the future as a weapon to level cities and towns. Military departments of Russia and the USA strongly reject such a possibility at present. However, Professor E. Kerimov of the Earth Physics Institute believes that scheduled natural disasters are quite real. Yet, official departments reject the existence of all above-mentioned weapons.

It is not ruled out that the wars of the future will be taking place without the explicit use of weapons. A disastrous nuclear explosion is very effective, but other methods are very efficient too, when enemies do not realize they are being attacked. Manifestations of such wars can already be seen in modern times. The capitalist and the communist superpowers have been struggling for decades without the use of their huge military potentials. As a result of the opposition, the communist superpower was destroyed. Soviet people perceived the break up of the USSR as a liberation, although the country was virtually defeated in the economic war. It is the economic war that allows to conquer other states one after another. However, Russia has not been conquered yet, because the Russian economy has not been added to the economy of the winner. Money will probably be the major weapon of the 21st century.

Let's imagine that a country is waging war against an enemy, using tectonic and meteorological weapons: an earthquake is followed with hard rains and draughts. An enemy will most likely ask for help after such a powerful impact. It will be the best moment to use the power of money. The weapons of the future will be a lot more efficient than the nuclear weapon. It does not matter, if they are going to be used as the prime or the extra weapon in a war - people will suffer and die anyway. The weapons of the new technologies pose a great danger to life on planet Earth. All present developments and research works must be strictly controlled by the state and by the society. A victory in a war is good for the government of the winning state, first and foremost. Common people have to survive a disastrous tragedy for a victory.

As experience shows, all anomalous or inexplicable phenomena are hidden from the public eye. Such a policy is understandable, because secret or unexplored knowledge can be used for someone's selfish needs. On the other hand, concealing or misrepresenting facts, separating science into "official" and "unofficial" categories is extremely dangerous for the whole humanity. Science helps people find answers to questions, it is not meant to incite wars and hostilities. - Weapons of the future: Weather, plasma and money

10/05/16 - FDA approves 1st 'artificial pancreas' for type 1 diabetes
KeelyNet The U.S. Food and Drug Administration on Wednesday approved the first automated insulin delivery system -- a so-called "artificial pancreas" -- for people with type 1 diabetes. "This first-of-its-kind technology can provide people with type 1 diabetes greater freedom to live their lives without having to consistently and manually monitor baseline glucose levels and administer insulin," Dr. Jeffrey Shuren, director of the FDA's Center for Devices and Radiological Health, said in an agency news release.

The device -- Medtronic's MiniMed 670G -- is what's known as a hybrid closed-loop system. That means it monitors blood sugar and then delivers necessary background (also known as basal) insulin doses. The device will also shut off when blood sugar levels drop too low. However, this device isn't yet a fully automated artificial pancreas. People with type 1 diabetes will still need to figure out how many carbohydrates are in their food, and enter that information into the system, the agency noted.

Medtronic said the new device will be available by Spring 2017. The FDA approval is currently only for people aged 14 and older. The company is now conducting clinical trials with the device in younger patients. Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disease caused by a mistaken attack on healthy insulin-producing cells in the body, destroying them. Insulin is a hormone necessary for ushering sugar into cells in the body and brain to provide fuel for the cells. People with type 1 must replace the insulin their bodies no longer produce, through multiple daily injections or through a tiny catheter attached to an insulin pump.

However, figuring out exactly how much insulin to give is no easy task. Both too much and too little insulin can have dangerous, even deadly consequences. And that's where this new technology will help. The device has a continuous glucose monitor that constantly measures blood sugar levels. A sophisticated computer algorithm then figures out if someone's blood sugar levels are too low or too high, and when too high, will give the correct insulin dose to bring the blood sugar level down.

The device does this via a small catheter inserted beneath the skin and attached to a tube that's attached to an insulin pump. This insulin delivery site needs to be changed approximately every three days. If blood sugar levels are too low, the device will shut down insulin delivery. In a statement, Aaron Kowalski, chief mission officer for JDRF (formerly the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation), said until there's a cure for type 1 diabetes, "I know that the artificial pancreas will change many lives for the better."

"People who have participated in artificial pancreas clinical trials have not only attained better overall [blood sugar] control, but have experienced the relief of sleeping through the night and waking up in the morning with blood glucose levels within target range. That's an improvement in quality of life that will be available to others living with type 1 diabetes very soon as a result of the FDA's decision," he said. Melinda Rose -- who has a grown son with type 1 diabetes, diagnosed when he was just 13 years old -- expressed excitement over the approval. The artificial pancreas "will revolutionize the way in which a person with type 1 diabetes manages this disease. In human terms, the parent of a child with the [artificial pancreas] system will now be able to sleep through the night and worry less." Dr. Gerald Bernstein, an endocrinologist and coordinator of the Friedman Diabetes Program at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City, also expressed enthusiasm for the new device. "With the development of electronic devices to deliver insulin and measure blood glucose, the dream has been to tie everything together and have an 'artificial pancreas," he said. "The greatest inhibitor has been the complexity of insulin delivery and the development of algorithms that can come close to what the normal body does," Bernstein explained.

"This is a welcome step forward for people with type 1 diabetes," he added. "It will be many years for a biologic cure or prevention, and it is exciting to know that life can be better until the next best thing comes along." According to JDRF, there are currently 18 artificial pancreas systems in various stages of development, with Medtronic's being the first to receive FDA approval.

Medtronic was also the first, and so far only, company to receive approval on what's known as a "low-suspend" pump. That device, approved in late 2013, shuts off automatically when blood sugar levels go too low. However, unlike the newly approved device, the low-suspend pump did not provide insulin delivery. According to the agency, the FDA approval is based on data from a clinical trial of 123 people with type 1 diabetes. The study volunteers wore the device for three months. No serious low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) events occurred. And no one experienced diabetic ketoacidosis, a serious complication that can occur if someone doesn't get enough insulin, according to the American Diabetes Association. - FDA approves 1st 'artificial pancreas' for type 1 diabetes

10/05/16 - Police Complaints Drop 93 Percent After Deploying Body Cameras
A study from Cambridge University documents an immense drop in complaints against police officers when their departments began using body cameras. But even more surprising is that the data suggests everyone is on their best behavior whether the cameras are present or not.

The data was collected in seven police departments, and represents over 1.4 million hours logged by 1,847 officers in 2014 and 2015; the researchers published their data last week in the journal Criminal Justice and Behavior.

Officers were randomly assigned to wear or not wear cameras week by week (about half would be wearing them any given week), and had to keep them on during all encounters.

The authors used complaints against police as a metric because they're easy to measure, an established practice in most police forces and give a good ballpark of the frequency of problematic behavior.

In the year before the study, 1,539 complaints in total were filed against officers; at the end of the body camera experiment, the year had only yielded 113 complaints. - Police Complaints Drop 93 Percent After Deploying Body Cameras

10/05/16 - Star Trek against Trump
KeelyNet Star Trek cast, writers, directors and producers representing every Star Trek show have united behind a Trek Against Trump statement. They believe his ideology, policies and personality are misaligned with the optimistic and inclusive future of Star Trek. The statement reads:

Star Trek has always offered a positive vision of the future, a vision of hope and optimism, and most importantly, a vision of inclusion, where people of all races are accorded equal respect and dignity, where individual beliefs and lifestyles are respected so long as they pose no threat to others. We cannot turn our backs on what is happening in the upcoming election. Never has there been a presidential candidate who stands in such complete opposition to the ideals of the Star Trek universe as Donald Trump. His election would take this country backward, perhaps disastrously.

We need to elect a president who will move this country forward into the kind of future we all dream of: where personal differences are understood and accepted (Trump endorses differences and people learning to work together and get along), where science overrules superstition (Trump is for science and technical advancement), where people work together instead of against each other.

Clearly all these fools do not understand Trump or his goals and methods. I am amazed...
Gene must be turning in his grave that so many 'trekkers' could be so stupid and so pathetically uninformed! Clearly this is unthinking, ill researched promotional garbage for the 'next' Star Trek.

The resolution of conflicts on Star Trek was never easy. Dont remain aloof vote! We have heard people say they will vote Green or Libertarian or not at all because the two major candidates are equally flawed. That is both illogical and inaccurate. Either Secretary Clinton or Mr. Trump will occupy the White House. One is an amateur with a contemptuous ignorance of national laws and international realities, while the other has devoted her life to public service, and has deep and valuable experience with the proven ability to work with Congress to pass desperately needed legislation. If, as some say, the government is broken, a protest vote will not fix it.

Have you just turned 18? Have you moved? Have you never voted before? Some states have early registration (early October) and/or absentee ballots. You cant vote if you are not registered. So make it so. Go to, a non-profit, non-partisan organization, and fulfill your civic duty. Because, damn it, you are a citizen of the USA, with an obligation to take part in our democracy! Do this not merely for yourself but for all the generations that follow. Vote for a future of enlightenment and inclusion, a future that will someday lead us to the stars.

The endorsements come from a vast swath of Star Trek personalities, representing both the shows illustrious past and promising future. As you can see, its an eclectic group, everything from Star Trek: The Original Series bit players to some of the most powerful and influential producers, actors, directors and writers in Star Trek history. Every Star Trek series The Original Series (TOS), The Animated Series (TAS), The Next Generation (TNG), Deep Space Nine (DS9), Voyager (VOY), Enterprise (ENT) and Discovery (DSC) is represented, as are all of the Star Trek movies. 10/05/16 - Record 42.4M immigrants, 23% of school kids, Muslims biggest jump

We must MAKE IT ILLEGAL FOR MUSLIMS TO VOTE. Part of their plan to take over is to vote in sharia. - JWD - At 42.4 million, there are now more immigrants, legal and illegal, in America than ever before, fueled by a massive flood from Muslim nations, and the growing numbers are substantially impacting public services like public schools, according to a weighty new analysis of Census Bureau data. One impact of note: There are 10.9 million students from immigrant households in public schools, accounting for 23 percent of all public school students, according to the Center for Immigration Studies.

And while the doors remain open on the U.S.-Mexico border, the biggest percentage increases in immigration are all from largely Muslim nations, a fact that has been drawn into the presidential election.

The latest data collected by the Census Bureau shows that 18.7 million immigrants arrived in the country from 2000 to 2014. Just between 2010 and 2014, 5.6 million immigrant arrived in the United States. The more than one million immigrants settling in the country each year have a very significant effect on many areas of American life. New immigration plus births to immigrants added more than eight million people to the U.S. population between 2010 and 2014, accounting for the overwhelming majority of population growth. Immigrants account for more than one in eight U.S. residents. Children from immigrant households now account for nearly one in four public school students, almost one-third of children in poverty, and one-third without health insurance, creating enormous challenges for the nation's schools, health care system, and physical infrastructure. The large share of immigrants who arrive as adults with relatively few years of schooling is the primary reason so many live in poverty, use welfare programs, and lack health insurance. - Record 42.4M immigrants, 23% of school kids, Muslims biggest jump

KeelyNet BBS Files w/bonus PDF of 'Keely and his Discoveries'
KeelyNet Finally, I've gotten around to compiling all the files (almost 1,000 - about 20MB and lots of work doing it) from the original KeelyNet BBS into a form you can easily navigate and read using your browser, ideally Firefox but it does work with IE. Most of these files are extremely targeted, interesting and informative, I had forgotten just how much but now you can have the complete organized, categorized set, not just sprinklings from around the web. They will keep you reading for weeks if not longer and give you clues and insights into many subjects and new ideas for investigation and research. IN ADDITION, I am including as a bonus gift, the book (in PDF form) that started it all for me, 'Keely and his Discoveries - Aerial Navigation' which includes the analysis of Keely's discoveries by Dr. Daniel G. Brinton. This 407 page eBook alone is worth the price of the KeelyNet BBS CD but it will give you some degree of understanding about what all Keely accomplished which is just now being rediscovered, but of course, without recognizing Keely as the original discoverer. Chapters include; Vibratory Sympathetic and Polar Flows, Vibratory Physics, Latent Force in Interstitial Spaces and much more. To give some idea of how Keely's discoveries are being slowly rediscovered in modern times, check out this Keely History. These two excellent bodies of information will be sent to you on CD. 'The Evolution of Matter' and 'The Evolution of Forces' on CD
KeelyNet Years ago, I had been told by several people, that the US government frequently removes books they deem dangerous or 'sensitive' from libraries. Some are replaced with sections removed or rewritten so as to 'contain' information that should not be available to the public despite the authors intent. A key example was during the Manhattan Project when the US was trying to finalize research into atomic bombs. They removed any books that dealt with the subject and two of them were by Dr. Gustave Le Bon since they dealt with both energy and matter including radioactivity. I had been looking for these two books for many years and fortunately stumbled across two copies for which I paid about $40.00 each. I couldn't put down the books once I started reading them. Such a wealth of original discoveries, many not known or remembered today. / Page 88 - Without the ether there could be neither gravity, nor light, nor electricity, nor heat, nor anything, in a word, of which we have knowledge. The universe would be silent and dead, or would reveal itself in a form which we cannot even foresee. If one could construct a glass chamber from which the ether were to be entirely eliminated, heat and light could not pass through it. It would be absolutely dark, and probably gravitation would no longer act on the bodies within it. They would then have lost their weight. / Page 96-97 - A material vortex may be formed by any fluid, liquid or gaseous, turning round an axis, and by the fact of its rotation it describes spirals. The study of these vortices has been the object of important researches by different scholars, notably by Bjerkness and Weyher. They have shown that by them can be produced all the attractions and repulsions recognized in electricity, the deviations of the magnetic needle by currents, etc. These vortices are produced by the rapid rotation of a central rod furnished with pallets, or, more simply, of a sphere. Round this sphere gaseous currents are established, dissymetrical with regard to its equatorial plane, and the result is the attraction or repulsion of bodies brought near to it, according to the position given to them. It is even possible, as Weyher has proved, to compel these bodies to turn round the sphere as do the satellites of a planet without touching it. / Page 149 - "The problem of sending a pencil of parallel Hertzian waves to a distance possesses more than a theoretical interest. It is allowable to say that its solution would change the course of our civilization by rendering war impossible. The first physicist who realizes this discovery will be able to avail himself of the presence of an enemy's ironclads gathered together in a harbour to blow them up in a few minutes, from a distance of several kilometres, simply by directing on them a sheaf of electric radiations. On reaching the metal wires with which these vessels are nowadays honeycombed, this will excite an atmosphere of sparks which will at once explode the shells and torpedoes stored in their holds. With the same reflector, giving a pencil of parallel radiations, it would not be much more difficult to cause the explosion of the stores of powder and shells contained in a fortress, or in the artillery sparks of an army corps, and finally the metal cartridges of the soldiers. Science, which at first rendered wars so deadly, would then at length have rendered them impossible, and the relations between nations would have to be established on new bases." - More Info

14 Ways to Save Money on Fuel Costs
KeelyNetThis eBook is the result of years of research into various methods to increase mileage, reduce pollution and most importantly, reduce overall fuel costs. It starts out with the simplest methods and offers progressively more detailed technologies that have been shown to reduce fuel costs. As a bonus to readers, I have salted the pages with free interesting BONUS items that correlate to the relevant page. Just filling up with one tank of gas using this or other methods explained here will pay for this eBook. Of course, many more methods are out there but I provided only the ones which I think are practical and can be studied by the average person who is looking for a way to immediately reduce their fuel costs. I am currently using two of the easier methods in my own vehicle which normally gets 18-22 mpg and now gets between 28 and 32 mpg depending on driving conditions. A tank of gas for my 1996 Ford Ranger costs about $45.00 here so I am saving around $15-$20 PER TANK, without hurting my engine and with 'greener' emissions due to a cleaner burn! The techniques provided in this ebook begin with simple things you can do NOW to improve your mileage and lower your gas costs. - eBook Download / More Info

Also clearly covered is the art of power generation (ideally zero point or aether conversion), space travel, physics of matter and energy, sound/acoustics and how it can be used to produce useful phenomena, electric or magnetic forces to produce useful phenomena, various types of motors, vacuum energy, dimensional travel and shifts, medicine, hydrogen generation and how it is used.

It also covers oil/petroleum and how it can be used to produce energy and products, weather control for cancelling earthquakes, tsunamis, fires, floods and to produce rain or clear weather on demand, oxygen/ozone therapy, nitrogen as a motor driver, water generation and manipulation via steam and vacuum, ecological restoration techniques, biophysics, rejuvenation and an unending list of other subjects, most of which are accepted by 'orthodox' science.
