~ Quote of the day ~

Raison d'tre
KeelyNet "This is the true joy in life: To being used for a purpose recognized by yourself as a mighty one. To being a force of nature instead of a feverish selfish little clod of ailments and grievances complaining that the world will not devote itself to making you happy.

KeelyNet I am of the opinion that my life belongs to the whole community and as long as I live, it is my privilege to do for it whatever I can. I want to be thoroughly used up when I die. For the harder I work, the more I live.

I rejoice in life for its own sake. Life is no brief candle to me. It is a sort of splendid torch which I have got a hold of for the moment, and I want to make it burn as brightly as possible before handing it on to future generations."

Goodbye Obama! Songwriter Dana Kamide produced this music and video and performs vocals on this wonderful, hilarious Christmas song parody which says it all! - - Based on the song Andy Williams made popular in the 60's... This version also parodies the movie "It's a Wonderful Life" When George Baily begs God (through his guardian angel Clarence) to let him live again... This time he begs God to help Donald Trump "Make America Great Again" Hillary makes an appearance as the Abominable Snowman in the end...

Singer, songwriter and Entertainer Dana Kamide wrote the lyrics and performed the lead vocals and produced the video. Democrats got Shellacked in the last 3 elections. Yet Obama and the media still trying to make up stories why Donald Trump was elected instead of admit that for the last 8-10 years their policies have FAILED AMERICA!

11/30/16 - Thermoelectric paint could capture heat energy on any surface
Researchers at Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST), the Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST), and the Korea Electrotechnology Research Institute have developed a thermoelectric paint that can generate electricity from waste heat. The paint could help power homes, vehicles and even ships.

The paint is made with bismuth telluride, which is often used in thermoelectric materials, and a special process was used to fuse the particles together. The paint is applied to a surface and then heated at high temperatures for 10 minutes, which increases its density and makes it more efficient at converting the heat energy into electricity. Tests show that the paint is more efficient than any other ink or paste-based thermoelectric material to date.

The researchers say that the paint would be particularly useful for capturing heat from walls and roofs during summer months. The paint could also be applied to cars and ships to help power onboard electronics and the researchers believe that the material could find its way to 3-D printed electronics and more. - Thermoelectric paint could capture heat energy on any surface

11/30/16 - Toyota's battery 'breakthrough' can lead to more range, longer life
Toyota calls its method, which allows a free flow of lithium ions from the cathode to the anode, the "world's first behavior observation method for lithium ions in electrolyte."

Toyota made has replaced the phosphorous in a traditional lithium-ion battery electrolyte with heavier elements. These heavier elements, which ferry the ions through the electrolyte, are then bombarded with powerful x-rays, which allows researchers to observe how the ions flow through.

So what does this all mean? By observing the lithium ions in the electrolyte, research and development dollars can be spent on preventing the bunching that degrades battery performance. Toyota believes its breakthrough can improve electric vehicle range by up to 15 percent and improve the battery's life simultaneously.

Right now, Toyota doesn't have a battery electric to which it could apply this knowledge. The company only recently started using lithium-ion batteries in lieu of older, more traditional nickel metal hydride batteries. The company reportedly cut back on hydrogen vehicle development in favor of working on battery-electric vehicles, so these R&D efforts won't go straight to the competition. - Toyota's battery 'breakthrough' can lead to more range, longer life

11/30/16 - The US has been at war for 93% of its existence. Is it too dangerous an ally?
Former PM&C head John Menadue warns that Australia should not be blindly following the United States into a series of pointless, costly wars. The US has a long history of involvement in wars. In May 2014 Washingtonblog.com detailed the number of wars that the US had been involved in since its independence in 1776. The data was well documented. According to this report, the US has been at war 93% of the time since 1776. It added:

    The US has never had a decade without war;

    The only time the US went five years without war (1935-40) was during the isolationist period of the Great Depression;

    The US has launched 201 out of 248 armed conflicts since the end of WWII;

The US is responsible for 41% of the worlds total military spending. The next largest spenders as a proportion of GDP are China 8.2%, Russia 4.1% and the UK and France 3.6%; and

The US maintains more than 700 military bases or sites around the world in more than 100 countries.

In an article in The Boston Globe on October 30, 2016, Nobel Prize winner Jeffrey Sachs also highlighted the continual involvement of the US in war.

The US has a long history of using covert and overt means to overthrow governments deemed to be unfriendly to US interests, following the classic imperial strategy of rule through locally imposed friendly regimes. In a powerful study of Latin America between 1898 and 1994, for example, historian John Coatsworth counts 41 cases of successful US led regime change, for an average rate of one government overthrow by the US every 28 months for a century. And note: Coatsworths count does not include the failed attempts, such as the Bay of Pigs invasion of Cuba. The tradition of US led regime change has been part and parcel of US foreign policy in other parts of the world, including Europe, Africa, the Middle East and South East Asia. Wars of regime change are costly to the US and often devastating to the countries involved.

This powerful complex that Eisenhower warned about is difficult to curb, as Barrack Obama has found. That complex includes the Pentagon, members of Congress dependent on defence spending in their states or constituencies, arms manufacturers across the country, the intelligence community and the so-called independent think tanks that depend on defence and military suppliers for funding. In turn these think tanks supply a never-ending stream of opinion pieces for the mainstream media.

These powerful influences keep the US on autopilot and almost always at war. That makes the US a dangerous ally. In our strategic dependence, as Malcolm put it, we follow along. And it is not just our politicians, but the Department of Defence and advisers like the Australian Strategic Policy Institute that are enthusiastic members of the US cheer squad. They loll comfortably in the US slipstream and allow Australia to be drawn into US folly from Vietnam to Iraq to Afghanistan and now with China.

As Paul Keating put it, we need to grow up. Or as Malcolm Turnbull told us five years ago, an Australian government needs to be careful not to allow a doe-eyed fascination with the leader of the free world. But the clarion call in recent years has come from Malcolm Fraser, who warned us about a dangerous ally and the risks of strategic dependence. - The US has been at war for 93% of its existence. Is it too dangerous an ally?

11/30/16 - Living cells have formed carbon-silicon bonds
Scientists have managed to coax living cells into making carbon-silicon bonds, demonstrating for the first time that nature can incorporate silicon - one of the most abundant elements on Earth - into the building blocks of life.

After oxygen, silicon is the second most abundant element in Earths crust, and yet it has nothing to do with biological life. Why silicon has never be incorporated into any kind of biochemistry on Earth has been a long-standing puzzle for scientists, because, in theory, it would have been just as easy for silicon-based lifeforms to have evolved on our planet as the carbon-based ones we know and love.

Not only are carbon and silicon both extremely abundant in Earths crust - theyre also very similar in their chemical make-up. One of the most important features carbon and silicon share is the ability to form bonds with four atoms at the same time. This means they're capable of linking together the long chains of molecules needed to form the basis of life as we know it - proteins and DNA. And yet, silicon-based lifeforms do not exist outside the Star Trek universe - as far as we know.

"No living organism is known to put silicon-carbon bonds together, even though silicon is so abundant, all around us, in rocks and all over the beach," says one of the researchers, Jennifer Kan from Caltech. To be clear, Kan and her team played a big role in getting living cells to achieve carbon-silicon bonds - this was not something that the cell could have easily done on its own. But the experiment is proof that these bonds can be formed in nature - so long as you have the right conditions. - Living cells have formed carbon-silicon bonds

11/30/16 - In the future, will farming be fully automated?
In the not-too-distant future, our fields could be tilled, sown, tended and harvested entirely by fleets of co-operating autonomous machines by land and air. And they'll be working both day and night.

Driverless tractors that can follow pre-programmed routes are already being deployed at large farms around the world. Drones are buzzing over fields assessing crop health and soil conditions. Ground sensors are monitoring the amount of water and nutrients in the soil, triggering irrigation and fertiliser applications. And in Japan, the world's first entirely automated lettuce farm is due for launch next year. The future of farming is automated.

The World Bank says we'll need to produce 50% more food by 2050 if the global population continues to rise at its current pace. But the effects of climate change could see crop yields falling by more than a quarter.

So autonomous tractors, ground-based sensors, flying drones and enclosed hydroponic farms could all help farmers produce more food, more sustainably at lower cost. No wonder the agricultural robotics sector is growing so fast. - Living cells have formed carbon-silicon bonds?

11/30/16 - Security researchers can turn headphones into microphones
Security researchers at Israels Ben Gurion University have created a proof-of-concept exploit that lets them turn headphones into microphones to secretly record conversations. The PoC, called Speake(a)r, first turned headphones connected to a PC into microphones and then tested the quality of sound recorded by a microphone vs. headphones on a target PC. In short, the headphones were nearly as good as an unpowered microphone at picking up audio in a room.

The hack is fairly ingenious. It essentially retasks the RealTek audio codec chip output found in many desktop computers into an input channel. This means you can plug your headphones into a seemingly output-only jack and hackers can still listen in.

Our experiments demonstrate that intelligible audio can be acquired through earphones and can then be transmitted distances up to several meters away, wrote researcher Mordecai Guri. In addition, we showed that the same setup achieves channel capacity rates close to 1 Kbps in a wide range of frequencies.

Most of todays built-in sound cards are to some degree retaskable, which means that they can be used for more than one thing. the kernel exposes an interface that makes it possible to retask your jacks, but almost no one seems to use it, or even know about it, wrote Linux sound engineer David Henningsson. Thats exactly the exploit Speak(a)r uses. - Security researchers can turn headphones into microphones

11/30/16 - Retired jet engines could help clear smog
TO LAND at Indira Gandhi Airport is to descend from clear skies to brown ones. Delhis air is toxic. According to the World Health Organisation, Indias capital has the most polluted atmosphere of all the worlds big cities. The government is trying to introduce rules that will curb emissionsallowing private cars to be driven only on alternate days, for example, and enforcing better emissions standards for all vehicles.

But implementing these ideas, even if that can be done successfully, will change things only slowly. A quick fix would help. And Moshe Alamaro, a researcher at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, thinks he has one.

His idea is to take a jet engine, put it next to one of Indias dirty coal-fired power plants, point its exhaust nozzle at the sky and then switch it on. His hope is that the jets exhaust will disrupt a meteorological phenomenon known as inversion, in which a layer of warm air settles over cooler air, trapping it, and that the rising stream of exhaust will carry off the tiny particles of matter that smog is composed of.

Within eight months, Dr Alamaro plans to put one of his updrafters next to a coal-fired power plant and monitor what happens using a fleet of drones. He is in discussions with Tata Group, a conglomerate with an electricity-generating arm, to run it next to one of the firms power stations. Another good candidate would be a government-run plant at Badarpur, less than 50km from the middle of Delhi. According to the Centre for Science and the Environment, a research and lobbying group based in the Indian capital, Badarpur is one of the most polluting power plants in the country. Earlier this month the government shut it down for ten days as part of a set of emergency measures intended to curb a particularly intense bout of air pollution.

Dr Alamaro has already found some of the decommissioned jet engines he needs to build his first updrafter. Both the Indian and the American air forces have been forthcoming. The Indians have offered six retired engines for nothing and the Americans are in the process of approving a further four engines from the Boneyard, an aircraft-storage facility located on Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Arizona. They are asking for just $5,000 per jet to cover the labour needed to prepare the engines, plus shipping.

Some meteorologists are sceptical. They suggest that the engines on offer will not have the oomph to push material through Delhis inversion layer, especially during daylight hours, when the boundary between warm and cool air sits at an altitude of around a kilometre. They also say that Dr Alamaros notion of a virtual chimney is too simple. Turbulence and friction will weaken the exhaust stream as it climbs. Moreover, even if the technique does work, using it to attack a citywide inversion layer would require so many jets and so much fuel as to be prohibitively expensive, says Alexander Baklanov, a researcher at the World Meteorological Organisation, in Geneva. - Retired jet engines could help clear smog

11/30/16 - Crumbling cement around you is soaking up carbon dioxide
A new study led by Chinese Academy of Sciences researcher Fengming Xi sought to fill in that gap. Adding a new set of measurements from cement in Chinese structures to existing studies elsewhere, the researchers put together a chemical model with estimates of things like exposed surface area, weather conditions, and structure lifespan. The result is a global estimate of how much atmospheric CO2 has been sucked up by decaying cement during its life, demolition, and re-use or disposal.

The numbers are surprising. As of 2013, the researchers estimate that about a quarter of a billion tons of CO2 was being absorbed by cement each year. Prior to the 1980s, this was mostly happening in the US and Europe, but China is the story more recently. The huge construction boom there in recent decades means that Chinese cement has come to dominate this process.

In total, the researchers estimate that about 4.5 billion tons of CO2 carbon has been taken up by cement since 1930. Thats about 43 percent of the amount of CO2 that has been released by the heating reaction in cement manufacturingmeaning cement hasnt been quite as big a source of CO2 emissions as we thought, all things considered.

Interestingly, while concrete makes up about 70 percent of the cement stuff out there, mortar does the majority of the CO2 consumption. Mortar is often applied in thin layers on building walls, giving it a very high exposed surface area and making the CO2-absorbing reaction more efficient. While concrete tends to absorb only 17 percent of the CO2 emitted during manufacturing over its life cycle, mortar consumes just as much CO2 as it released at birth. - Crumbling cement around you is soaking up carbon dioxide

11/25/16 - New AI algorithm taught by humans learns beyond its training
The team designed an algorithm that learns directly from human instructions, rather than an existing set of examples, and outperformed conventional methods of training neural networks by 160 per cent. But more surprisingly, their algorithm also outperformed its own training by nine per cent it learned to recognize hair in pictures with greater reliability than that enabled by the training, marking a significant leap forward for artificial intelligence.

Our algorithm learned to correctly classify difficult, borderline cases distinguishing the texture of hair versus the texture of the background, says Aarabi. What we saw was like a teacher instructing a child, and the child learning beyond what the teacher taught her initially. This figure compares a traditionally trained algorithm to Aarabi and Guos heuristically trained neural net. The left and centre columns show an aggressive and conservative image-recognition algorithm trained to recognized human hair, compared to the more precise heuristically trained algorithm at right.

Humans teach neural networks computer networks that learn dynamically by providing a set of labeled data and asking the neural network to make decisions based on the samples its seen. For example, you could train a neural network to identify sky in a photograph by showing it hundreds of pictures with the sky labeled.

This algorithm is different: it learns directly from human trainers. With this model, called heuristic training, humans provide direct instructions that are used to pre-classify training samples rather than a set of fixed examples. Trainers program the algorithm with guidelines such as Sky is likely to be varying shades of blue, and Pixels near the top of the image are more likely to be sky than pixels at the bottom. - New AI algorithm taught by humans learns beyond its training

11/25/16 - The nasty rise of flash mob robbers
Groups known as flash-mob robbers storm a store, steal thousands in merchandise in minutes and bolt as quickly as they arrive. Often in groups of up to 15 people, the bandits burst into a store, make a beeline to the lucrative goodies and quickly pillage the shelves. (High-end jeans and cosmetics are favorite items, experts say.) Sometimes even before the store employees or security realizes what is happening, the mob has dispersed, goods in tow. The longest I saw it take them was two minutes, says San Francisco police officer Carlos Manfredi, who has been working to arrest the robbers and their copycats. Depending on the target, each shoplifter can pocket more than a dozen items each. Manfredi estimates the Rainbow Girls have stolen more than a million dollars in merchandise over the years.

Across the country in Massachusetts, law enforcement officers are battling a similar problem. In September, a hoodie-clad gang of men mobbed an Apple AAPL, -0.51% store in Hingham, stealing 22 phones in minutes; one month later in Natick, a similar-looking crew made off with $13,000 of phones in under a minute. Incidents have also happened in a 7-Eleven 3382, +1.63% in Kansas City with a mob of 50 and a Diesel store in Washington D.C., with more than 20 people.

The rise of flash-mob robbers over the past seven years is one of the most significant, emerging trends in retail, says Ernie Deyle, a retail industry consultant and co-author of the Checkpoint Systems Retail Holiday Season Global Forecast. These events have become more in vogue and popular via viral-spread, he says, referring to how quickly surveillance videos of the heists are shared across social media.

Sometimes these robberies happen spontaneously, other times, theyre organized by criminals. The robbers can get $40,000 in under two minutesits like a dance routine, its very coordinated, says Robert Moraca, the vice president of loss prevention at the National Retail Federation. Sometimes the thieves sell the goods iPhones, for example, get two to three times their value when sold internationally, he says. Other times, they exchange the goods for gift cards, then sell those gift cards for cash. The benefit of working in a group is if one gets caught, others in the mob still walk away with plenty of stolen merchandise.

Not only can flash mob robberies cost retailers millions, says Manfredi, they also hurt consumers, who ultimately get charged higher prices for goods to make up for these kinds of losses, says Moraca. A survey from Checkpoint Systems found that shrink the industry term used to describe a companys lost inventory due in part to losses from shoplifting, theft and internal fraud will cost the average consumer $50, just within this holiday season, though of course, only a small part of this is due to flash mob robberies.

To combat this, stores are investing in better security cameras and training specific to these incidents, experts say. Moraca notes that some stores even have advanced security systems that alert staff to unusual foot traffic patterns before an actual heist is in progress. Still, businesses are in a bind: many retailers still have fewer staff than before the recession, and the word of these incidents spreads quickly. The Rainbow Girls, for example, now have lots of copycats, says Manfredi: They tell their friends, its so easy. - The nasty rise of flash mob robbers

11/25/16 - Russia to recover gold out of coal
KeelyNet The Russian experts have learnt how to make gold out of coal. Scientists of the Amur region developed an experimental device which is able of extracting up to 1g of the precious metal from a ton of the burnt fuel.

The researchers have been studying composition of the coal from various fields for 15 years and found out that both useful and harmful components are deposited in filters.

'In case the device entraps even a half - that is about half a gram per ton, the economic effect can be easily figured out. You burn a ton and get 1,500 roubles,' Oleg Ageev, Director General of the Complex Innovative Technologies of the Amur Scientific Centre, said.

The principle is based on hundredfold clean-up system of smoke which occurs after combustion of the coal. Golden concentrate may be used later to produce gold. The method has been already patented. The Far Eastern scientists plan to use their device as early as in 2017. Now they intend to get a grant worth 1.5m roubles in Skolkovo for industrial mining of gold. - Russia to recover gold out of coal

11/25/16 - China ready to launch weather warfare?
China has passed to weather manipulation. Weather warfare, a so-called Wunderwaffe of conspiracy theorists is within a stone's throw. In fact as it was reported, local authorities of one of the Chinese regions which suffers from drought got concerned about meteorology and are ready to invest money into creation of artificial rainy clouds in order to improve water supply of the Qinghai province. Experts offered to launch the process over the Tibetan plateau, so that more than 5bln cubic metres of water will be produced a year. Abundant rains should flow ultimately into the Yellow River.

It is noted that the project competes with the project which is to turn some flows of the big Chinese rivers (the Yangtze and the Yellow rivers) to the north and east.

However, Andrey Ostrovskiy, deputy director of the Institute of Far Eastern Studies, member of the European Association of Chinese Studies, told Pravda.Ru that 'no water is needed on the Tibetan plateau. Snow melting is enough for rivers. And what about agriculture, water is needed in the northern part of the country and in the north-west.' Problem of water supply in the Chinese cities really exists but not around the whole country. Coastal regions do not suffer.

It should be noted that China has announced 30m dollars-worth funding at the beginning of the year to incorporate 'weather technologies'. By 2020 the country hopes to get 60bln cubic metres of rainy water. It should be a serious supplement to the arid regions. Engineers who deal with such kinds of technologies in the US say that they will easily increase the water yield under artificial rain by 15% and even more. And the drones are certainly necessary, as they can cheaply disperse silver chemicals and are more accurate.

According to Leonid Savin, Chief Editor of the Katehon analytical centre, the Chinese project is interesting because of its double-purpose technologies first of all. In case the Chinese manipulate weather, it will backfire on another region. And it will certainly generate discontent in the neighbouring countries. Such consequences have been already evidenced. India regularly drains water off and it floods the neighbouring Bangladesh, while in the Central Asia conflict at a diplomatic level are taking place regarding construction of energy plants and change of the riverbed. China is interested in cultivation of its territories, but the Tibetan plateau is not among such lands, on the contrary, it's a source of main water resources and not only for China, but also the neighbouring India and Pakistan'.

And the main point is that such systems are not reliable. They may be effective at one place and ineffective at another, for a sea coast for example where cyclones take place. Thus, the results may be evidenced only after an experiment. - China ready to launch weather warfare?

11/25/16 - Pastor uses bug spray 'to cure cancer, HIV'
A South African pastor who has been dubbed the Prophet of Doom has been slammed by a group representing 88 denominations and churches for spraying his congregation with insecticide, claiming it can heal cancer and HIV. Self-proclaimed prophet Lethebo Rabalago has been using an insect spray called Doom, spraying the product into peoples eyes, among other body parts, claiming it can heal individuals from several diseases.

Despite the controversy, the 24-year-old pastor defended his actions and he was glorifying God with his actions, according to local news site Herald Live. Its not a matter of inspiration, he said. When one is inspired you are copying. Its not a matter of inspiration. No one inspired me. I just believe in God for anything. We can use anything that you believe to heal people. - Pastor uses bug spray 'to cure cancer, HIV'

11/25/16 - More young people contracting 'old-age' conditions including varicose veins due to sedentary lifestyles
KeelyNet Young people are being treated for conditions commonly seen in the elderly such as varicose veins, haemorrhoids, back pain and knee joint problems. People in their 20s and 30s are being treated for varicose veins, knee joint problems and other conditions usually associated with old age. Bad postures and sedentary lifestyles have led to a rise in the number of younger people experiencing complaints such as back pain and haemorrhoids, according to analysis by Bupa.

Data from more than 60,000 medical procedures in 2015 was compiled by the private healthcare group. It found treatment traditionally offered to older generations was increasingly being sought by younger people, aged mainly between 25 and 45 a shift it attributed to time spent sitting at desks, watching box sets and using smartphones and tablets.

Removal of haemorrhoids and varicose veins were two of the most common procedures in the heart and circulatory diseases category for both 26 to 35-year-olds and 36 to 45-year-olds. Haemorrhoid removal and treatment for varicose veins are procedures that people in this age group should not be encountering, said Dr Steve Iley, Bupa's medical director in a statement. However, when you consider the amount of time young people now spend sat using their mobiles and tablets, streaming box sets or playing with the latest games console, you can see why these conditions are rising in this age group.

Among the five most common conditions treated in 36 to 45-year-olds were arthroscopic knee operations, a surgical technique by which a tiny camera is used to look inside the knee. Epidural injections at the base of the spine, used to treat back pain, was also in the top five for this age group a 10 per cent rise from 2014, a Bupa spokesperson told The Independent. And arthroscopic knee operations were even one of the five most common procedures among 16 to 25-year-olds. Searches for stress-related conditions on Bupas website had also increased, it said, suggesting this could be due to longer working hours, busy schedules and a lack of ability to switch off. - More young people contracting 'old-age' conditions including varicose veins due to sedentary lifestyles

11/25/16 - USAs new super oil field to wash away Russian economy?
The US Geological Survey informed about the discovery of the largest, previously unused oil and gas field in the country. Oil reserves in the newly-discovered deposit were estimated at 20 billion barrels. The reserves of natural gas - 16 trillion cubic meters and gas condensate - 1.6 billion barrels. The potential value of the resources was evaluated at 900 billion dollars.

The news has sparked vivid discussions among Russian liberals and Ukrainians. Many of them were led to believe that the USA would drown the Russian economy in cheap oil and gas. Several Ukrainian newspapers have already published articles under headlines "Russia Horrified" or "USA crushes Putin" and "Poverty Coming to Russian Homes." Russia's Natural Resources Minister Dmitry Donskoy said that the US Geological Service gave a tricky presentation of the news.

"Since 2014, the US Geological Survey has been generously evaluating resources of its regions to non-localized "long" oil on the basis of a new technique," Donskoy wrote. The Minister instructed the All-Russia Oil Research Geological Institute to prepare an analytical report and urged experts to evaluate the new information.

According to analysts, even if the deposit is said to contain 20 billion barrels, the amount has to be divided by ten. In practice, no shale deposit has ever given even a 1/8 of output. Experts also said that Venezuela, according to geological data, has much larger oil reserves than the USA.

The profitability of shale oil production is another problem. The production of shale oil is considerably larger than the production of Russian or Arab oil. No new shale oil wells have been built recently, while the old ones operate with the help of bank loans. To make shale oil production profitable, one will have to conduct negotiations on an international level and raise oil prices. In Russia, recoverable oil reserves are evaluated at about 29 billion tons. - USAs new super oil field to wash away Russian economy?

Andrey Morozov, head of the Amalthea Group, decided to revive the coal-water fuel technology.

According to him, the transition from the direct combustion of coal in a variety of combustion devices to water-coal fuel will be crucial solution for the coal-fired power industry. Water-coal fuel is a mixture of finely ground coal and water, which can be stored, transported by road and rail tanks or pumped through pipelines.

"Water-coal fuel has been known since the Soviet times. This technology was developed mainly with a view to reducing the cost of transportation of coal for long distances. In the 1990s, a test 260-km long coal pipeline was even created but the project was finally closed due to the economic situation in Russian at the time," Morozov told Sputnik.

According to him, the coal-water fuel technology helps to efficiently burn coal, minimize harmful emissions and reduce the cost of the resulting heat.Morozov said customers in South Korea, Uzbekistan, Poland, Hungary and Switzerland have already signaled their interest for his project. - Top 5 Russian Startups That Could Change Your Life - "Green" fuel

11/20/16 - AirSelfie drone is small enough to stow away in a phone case
The AirSelfie is the latest advance in the never-ending technological pursuit of the perfect selfie. The minuscule quadcopter fits in the palm of your hand and slides into a custom phone case for storage and charging. It can only fly for three minutes, but that is enough time for its intended use of capturing a quick group selfie when arms and even selfie sticks cant extend far enough to get everyone in the picture. The drone can be controlled with one hand via the app (iOS and Android) and can fly up to 20 meters high. When youre ready to snap a photo or video, it will hover autonomously whether indoor or out.

Three flight modes allow you to pilot the AirSelfie with varying degrees of control. The most basic is Selfie mode, where just on-screen buttons move the drone farther away or closer to you. Selfie Motion Control mode allows you to control the drone with a virtual joystick for more flight options. Rotate the phone into landscape orientation to engage Flight mode, which turns your phone into a classic controller, giving you full freedom. Once you find the perfect spot, the AirSelfie will automatically hover.

When youre done flying, simply pluck the AirSelfie out of the air, which can be done safely with your bare hand. Return it to its case and it will recharge in 30 minutes. With an integrated camera that shoots five-megapixel stills or HD video, the AirSelfie certainly isnt intended to compete with the likes of the DJI Mavic. Its part of a growing number of compact, consumer-oriented selfie drones that put convenience first. The AirSelfie may just be the most convenient yet, thanks to its pocketable design. If you dont mind a little extra bulk on your phone, you can carry it with you at all times.

At the time of writing, the AirSelfie has raised just over $11,000 of its $48,000 Kickstarter goal. Pledge levels that include the AirSelfie as a reward start at 179 euros (about $190), although this particular tier is limited to just 1,000 backers with only a few spots remaining. The drone will eventually retail for around 270 euros (about $287). - AirSelfie drone is small enough to stow away in a phone case

Saudi Arabia has warned Donald Trump that the incoming US president will risk the health of his countrys economy if he acts on his election promises to block oil imports.

In a sign of the difficulties Mr Trump faces over his campaign pledges to create complete American energy independence from our foes and the oil cartels, Saudi Arabias energy minister pointedly reminded the president-elect that the US benefits more than anybody else from global free trade, adding, energy is the lifeblood of the global economy.

At his heart President-elect Trump will see the benefits and I think the oil industry will also be advising him accordingly that blocking trade in any product is not healthy, Khalid al-Falih, who is also chairman of Aramco, the state-run oil company, told the Financial Times in Marrakesh, where he is leading Saudi Arabias delegation in UN climate talks. Mr Falih, whose kingdom is the worlds largest exporter of crude, said that, although the US imported millions of barrels of oil, it had also benefited hugely from being able to freely sell significant amounts of exported products.

11/20/16 - Real-Life "Phaser" Would Knock Out an Entire Drone Swarm With One Shot
The U.S. Army is testing a new weapon that shares its name with the handheld laser of "Star Trek" fame. Developed by Raytheon, the Phaser can disable drones and virtually anything electronic with a sweep of its four-foot dish.

The Phaser is a high-powered microwave radiation transmitter parked on top of a 20-foot shipping container. Accompanying radars, including the MPQ-64 Sentinel or Close Combat Tactical Radar, would detect, track, and track the target, then hand off that info to the Phaser. Powered by a diesel generator, Phaser can direct a brief jolt of microwave energy in the direction of incoming drones. The energy fries the control systems, stopping their motors and causing drones to fall out of the air.

Phaser has advantages over other anti-drone technologies. Unlike lasers, which direct a thin beam of intense light at a single drone, Phaser broadcasts a swathe of microwave radiation, destroying the electronics of any drone caught in its path. Whereas a laser would need to shoot down every drone in a swarm, Phaser could knock out an entire swarm with a single shot.

The system's effectiveness isn't limited to drones. It works on any electronics, meaning it affects cars, improvised electronic devices, and pretty much anything that uses integrated circuits. It could affect helicopters in flight and the device on which you're reading this article. It could have broader applications on the complex battlefields of today; for example, disabling car speeding towards a friendly checkpoint without having to shoot the occupants. The phenomenon is similar to that generated by Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP), a byproduct of a nuclear explosion, or a really, really bad solar storm. - Real-Life "Phaser" Would Knock Out an Entire Drone Swarm With One Shot

11/20/16 - DNA-editing breakthrough could fix 'broken genes' in the brain, delay ageing and cure incurable diseases
The cells in most of the tissues of an adult body do not divide, making it harder for scientists to introduce changes to the DNA. But Professor Izpisua Belmonte, of the Salk Institute in the US, said: For the first time, we can enter into cells that do not divide and modify the DNA at will.

We now have a technology that allows us to modify the DNA of non-dividing cells, to fix broken genes in the brain, heart and liver. It allows us for the first time to be able to dream of curing diseases that we couldnt before, which is exciting. The researchers used the technique on rats born with a genetic disease called retinitis pigmentosa, which affects about one in 4,000 people in the UK.

By altering the genes affecting the eyes, they were able to give the rats a degree of vision. It should be noted, however, that although tests demonstrated improved visual responses after subretinal injection of [the DNA repair] to three-week-old rats, the rescue was only partial and not enough to completely restore vision, the researchers wrote in a paper about their research in the journal Nature.

The technique, known as HITI, was based on the famous CRISPR gene-editing technique. The ability to use HITI for in vivo [in a living animal] targeted transgene insertion into post-mitotic [non-dividing] neurons is unprecedented and will help advance basic and translational neuroscience research, the paper added.

Scientists who were not involved in the study hailed the breakthrough. Professor Robert MacLaren, of Oxford University, described the research as a significant advance. Researchers are now using this mechanism to correct gene defects. Clinical trials are a long way off because the CRISPR proteins may cut DNA at other sites that may have untoward effects, said. Nevertheless, since ageing is defined as picking up DNA mutations, the ability to correct these mutations may in future provide us with a means of extending our lifespan as well as treating many diseases that relate to ageing. - DNA-editing breakthrough could fix 'broken genes' in the brain, delay ageing and cure incurable diseases

    11/20/16 - Torsion Field Technologies
KeelyNet In the past 60 years we are beginning to understand this extraterrestrial enigma and are beginning to realize that humanity has historic and genetic roots in other more technologically advanced civilizations with which we co-exist but are largely unaware. The reason we are unaware of these more advanced civilizations is that these civilizations are based on nanotechnology and torsion field technologies. The citizens of these civilizations choose to observe and interact with us using these technologies making them largely invisible to us.

For instance these civilizations seem to use time compression and other torsion technologies to place themselves in the technologically advantageous situation by speeding up their time in relation to our time. In a sense we are placed in stasis of very slow time in relation to their activities so as to almost be at a standstill in relation to them. In this manner their activities and actions are too quick for us to observe or to affect them. Its only when the extraterrestrial activity slows down for one reason or another that we can observe their activities.

Our civilization has now progressed to the point where we are becoming technologically advanced enough to begin to observe and understand anomalous aerial objects as spacecraft with real extraterrestrial occupants. We are beginning to understand the physics involved and how the propulsion systems of the craft operate. All this in turn leads us to begin to understand the technological basis of the civilizations that fly these spacecraft.

I find it interesting that the Russians are much more willing to embrace torsion physics but even the American scientists are beginning to begrudgingly admit the existence of these fields as can be seen by this skeptical Wikipedia torsion entry. Its now becoming clear to me that these extraterrestrial civilizations are based on torsion field physics just as our current civilization is based on electric and magnetic field physics. Torsion fields are just more advanced forms of electricity and magnetism and so these more advanced technological civilizations are just a quantum jump away from us in their technological development.

Let me give some examples as to how torsion technologies may revolutionize society. Anybody studying the torsion literature can think up many more examples for themselves. Remember folks I am just getting started researching the possibilities inherent in Torsion Physics with this my first article on this subject. Today we use an electrical motor and a compressor to run freezers and refrigerators to preserve food, specimens and other things like genetic material. Freezing and refrigeration slows down bacterial processes that spoil food by lowering the temperature. A stasis chamber using a torsion generator would put the food or other material in a much slower time in relation to our time.

Perhaps only seconds would elapse with the material in the chamber while days; months, years would have passed outside of the chamber. So the food or other material would stay fresh in relation to our time and our activities. Think about how a stasis chamber and generator could be used in the medical profession.

A traumatized individual at the scene of an accident or crime could be put in stasis for as long as necessary to get that person to the hospital and through surgery. Maybe a person could even be operated on while in stasis. If a kind of torsion technology is used to walk through walls or even fly craft through solid bedrock, then it might be possible to even operate on a person without cutting into the body. If todays technology cant handle the job then maybe the person could be kept in stasis until such technology is developed.

Such a thought then leads to time travel capabilities where a person is kept in stasis for ten, twenty, forty years and then brought back to regular time. In the future with life extension possibilities a person could even live for a very long time once they came back to standard time. This idea suggests the possibility that if large numbers of people decided to go into stasis for extended periods of time that might help solve the overpopulation problem.

How about transportation technologies? In a few decades we could be looking back at cars and airplanes like we think about horses and buggies. Atmospheric craft and spacecraft would be lifted and propelled by torsion propulsion systems around the globe and into the vastness of space. There would be no expensive infrastructure of roads and bridges to build and maintain and no environmentally damaging expensive fossil fuels to burn for propulsion. With less materials needed for infrastructure, and better and more efficient recycling of materials, there would be less need for mining of the earth.

How about trash disposal? That which was not recycled could be simply destroyed or decomposed by torsion field generators into manageable recycled products.

How about creating new alloys, fabrics, composite materials through use of torsion fields? Think of the advancements in materials technology. Torsion fields and time compression can make normally opaque substances transparent so this would open up huge opportunities into seeing through normally opaque objects or even into the earth itself.

The greatest impact that torsion field generators may have on our civilization initially would be to make the environmentally destructive fossil fuels industry obsolete almost overnight. Torsion field generators would replace expensive polluting fossil fuels with cheap, efficient non-polluting energy and so free up huge economic resources for the feeding and housing of our ever expanding population. We could end global warming very quickly.

Communication technologies would make a quantum jump in range and speed making today's communications seem like that of the telegraph. Torsion Physics even begins to explain telepathy and even consciousness. Torsion technologies can be truly be called the technology of the gods. We now have this technology within our grasp if we chose to embrace the technology constructively rather than destroy ourselves with it. If we are to handle this technology constructively we must openly and transparently discuss and develop this technology. We must not allow this technology to fall into the hands of a secret autocratic elite to be used to control and enslave the rest of us. - Torsion Field Technologies

    11/20/16 - The Glycophosphate Invasion
A FDA-registered food safety laboratory tested iconic American food for residues of the weed killer glyphosate (aka Monsantos Roundup) and found ALARMING amounts. Just to give you an idea of how outrageous these amounts are, independent research shows that probable harm to human health begins at really low levels of exposure at only 0.1 ppb of glyphosate. Many foods were found to have over 1,000 times this amount! Well above what regulators throughout the world consider safe.

Our public agencies are allowing corporations to poison Americans for profit. In 2013, the EPA massively increased the industry standard of what is considered a safe level of glyphosate on our food, in order to make enormous amounts seem A-OK. Instead of properly regulating, they effectively raised the safe level so that no one can blame the industry for poisoning us with unlawful amounts of chemicals. This is corruption at its finest. The EPA has a long and sordid history of doing whatever Monsanto wants and you have to ask yourself why this continues to happen and how we can make it stop. The EPA continues to pander to Monsanto, as they keep postponing and dragging their feet to evaluate glyphosates link to cancer in humans. The industry is fighting tooth and nail to make sure that the EPA evaluation will be in their favor and is trying to control who will be on the panel. Why wont the EPA do their job to make sure that the worlds most widely used herbicide isnt causing us all to get cancer? Dont you think this should be a top priority? Its time for the EPA to put the public health above the corrupt desires of corporations.

When it comes to the FDA, they are not protecting the American public from glyphosate either. After announcing in February that they would FINALLY begin testing foods for glyphosate residues, they just decided to suspend their testing this week. Could it be that Monsanto didnt like the results they started getting especially since the FDA found glyphosate in foods that should be especially safe like BABY FOOD? Monsanto will do whatever it takes to keep that story out of the public eye.

Doesnt the public deserve to know this information? It should be shouted from the rooftops! It is shameful that the American media has thus far failed to cover this breaking news, but WE HAVE THE POWER to make this information go viral. If you really want to stop the corruption perpetuated by Monsanto and the large chemical companies this is how we shut them down! - The Glycophosphate Invasion

11/20/16 - Conductive concrete that can protect buildings from electromagnetic blasts

    KeelyNet

Conductive concrete both absorbs and reflects electromagnetic waves. Researchers replaced some standard concrete materials with magnetite. The mineral has magnetic properties and can absorb microwaves. Contains carbon and metal as well, enhancing absorption and reflection. New product could be applied to existing buildings with spray-on method.

In recent years, security experts have increasingly warned of science fiction-style electromagnetic pulse attacks powerful weapons could wipe out power grids and put millions of lives at risk. Now, researchers have developed a type of concrete that could act as a shield against these doomsday attacks. The conductive concrete both absorbs and reflects electromagnetic waves to protect the electronics inside, and the creators say it could be used in new structures or applied through a spray-on method to retrofit existing buildings.

While electromagnetic energy is found all around us, a burst of these waves from a high-altitude nuclear explosion or an electromagnetic pulse (EMP) weapon could cause electric current and voltage surges, wiping out electronic systems on a massive scale.

EMP is very lethal to electronic equipment, said Christopher Tuan, professor of civil engineering. We found a key ingredient that dissipates wave energy. 'This technology offers a lot of advantages so the construction industry is very interested. The researchers created a concrete that conducts electricity, replacing some of the standard concrete materials with magnetite.

This mineral has magnetic properties, and can absorb microwaves. The concrete also includes carbon and metal components, enhancing its absorbing abilities and allowing it to reflect as well. According to the researchers, this method is far more effective than standard shielding technologies, which rely on metal enclosures with expensive panels or screens.

The new concrete is now available for commercialization, and the team has joined with ABC Group in a research agreement for a new patent-pending pending product that would work with a shotcrete construction method, a spray-on technique that would allow for cost-effective retrofitting. This would protect building interiors from electromagnetic interference, such as radio waves and microwaves, and electronic eavesdropping. According to the researchers, it could be used to make military, financial, and other important structures much safer.

The missile is equipped with an electromagnetic pulse cannon. This uses a super-powerful microwave oven to generate a concentrated beam of energy. The energy causes voltage surges in electronic equipment, rendering them useless before surge protectors have the chance to react. In 2015, the US Air Force claims it has advanced the technology, and says it can deploy it using the stealthy Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missile-Extended Range (JASSM).

And before this, in 2012, aircraft manufacturer Boeing successfully tested the weapon on a one-hour flight during which it knocked out the computers of an entire military compound. During Boeing's experiment, the missile flew low over the Utah Test and Training Range, discharging electromagnetic pulses on to seven targets, permanently shutting down their electronics. Boeing said that the test was so successful even the camera recording it was disabled. - Conductive concrete that can protect buildings from electromagnetic blasts

I said, In June of last year, Trump entered the race for president. In just a little over a year, Trump has single handedly defeated the Republican party. He did so thoroughly. In fact, he did so in such a resounding way that the Republican Party now suffers from an identity crisis. He literally dismantled the party. Trump even dismantled and dismissed the brand and value of the Bush family. Trump has Obama petrified that Trump will dismiss programs that werent properly installed using proper law. Trump has single handedly debunked and disemboweled any value of news media as we knew itnews now suffering from an all-time level of distrust and disrespect.

Trump has leaders from all over the world talking about him, whether good or bad. Trust me, powerful men who have been president before werent liked by the global community. I doubt Mikhail Gorbachev liked Reagan when Reagan said, "Tear down that wall."

Trump has expressly disclosed the fraud perpetrated on the American public by Hillary Clinton. He has, quite literally, brought Hillary to her kneesif you believe that nervous tension and disorders offer physical side effects and damage. Trump has unified the silent majority in a way that should be patently frightening to liberals. As the press accuses Trump of being a house of cards, Trump has proven the press is the real house of cards. He has whipped up the entire establishment into pure panic.

Trump has exposed them for who they are and worse, what they are. George Clooney was right when he said Trump draws live news coverage of his podium that hes not yet approached. Thanks, George, you were perfectly correct. What we see as headline news today are actually the last bubbles from the ship that is now sunk meaning the standard news media, as a propaganda machine, has been exposed.

They have no more value. In the same way Trump asked the African-American community this question, I asked my friend, At this point, what do you have to lose? We have mass cop shootings, riots in our streets, ambushed cops, double digit inflation, bombs blowing up in our cities, targeted police, # BLM, a skyrocketing jobless rate, no economic growth, privately owned land being seized by the federal government, the worst racial tension in my lifetime, no God in schools, more abortions than ever, illegal aliens pouring into our country, sick veterans receiving no care, and a debt that doubled in seven years to $19 trillion. Are you really happy with the condition of the current system?

One man has done all of this in one yearone guy, and on his own dime. And with everything Ive written above, you believe Trump hasn't done anything? You claim that you are afraid of Donald Trump? No wonder were in trouble. You can say that Trump is a lousy presidential candidate. Thats your right. Just dont ever say hes not effective. That Megan Kelly, FOX News, CNN, MSNBC, Washington Post, Rachel Maddow, the Huffington Post, the New York Times, Raleighs News and Observer, the AP, Don Lemon, Jake Tapper, and many more, failed to implement their collectively orchestrated lie on the American people against Trump, is actually a massive testament to Trump. The press colluded pure propaganda to accomplish his demise and they have collectively failed and miserably.

Here's just one example of how badly America is injured right now. There are high school football players on their knees during the national anthem simply because the press used as propaganda to program those kids to do that very thing. But, these kids are mimicking NFL stars the same way the same kids chooses which brand of football shoe to purchasethey're overtly brain-washed to do that very thing. Now, we have a generation of children who hate America. Americas problem isnt that little children are on their knee in collective disrespect of America. Our problem is that America is on her knee from collective disrespect by Americans. You can disrespect America all you want. But, its high-time you respect the silent majority.

Because theyre not simply the silent majority as youve been trained to believe when Hillary calls them deplorables. The fact is, they are simply the majority. And now they're no longer silent either. Donald Trump changed all of that, single-handedly and within one year." - Trump has 'done nothing'

11/15/16 - Electric 'monkey-bike' hits speeds of 20mph and fully charges in under an hour
The small bike is just one meter long and is designed for the city commute. Riders charge their bikes by plugging them into any household outlet. Within one hour, the bike will have a range of almost 40 miles (60 km). It will launch first in Asia before arriving in the UK, Europe and the US.

Called the Motochimp, the electric mini moto which is fully charged by a house plug in less than one hour could revolutionise the inner city commute. The diminutive bike is an emission-free ride capable of a top speed of more than 20 mph (32 kph) - making it ideal for the ride to work on rush hour roads.

The company behind the design claims it is eco-friendly, fashionable and the antidote to traditional urban transport. To charge the bike, simply plug the adaptor into any conventional socket. Within one hour, the bike will have a range of almost 40 miles (60km).

The Motochimp has been designed by Singaporean electrics experts, Vanda Electrics, and is being launched at this week's Shenzhen International Industrial Design Fair in China. It is expected to arrive in the UK, Europe and the US at a later date and will cost around 1,300 ($1,600). It is one-metre (3 ft 2 in-inch) long, has an aluminium frame and is powered by a 48V, 350 watt electric rear hub motor.

'With a range of up to 60 km [37 miles] from a 60-minute charge, and all from a standard plug socket, it won't cost the earth to buy or run. 'In designing Motochimp, our original concept was inspired by a sketch from a 10-year old girl.

Riders can charge the bike by plugging the adaptor into any conventional socket. Within one hour, the bike will have a range of almost 40 miles (60 km). 11/15/16 - Investors see artificial intelligence destroying millions of jobs: poll

    KeelyNet

Investors believe it is "inevitable" that artificial intelligence will destroy millions of jobs and that governments are unprepared for such an impact, according to a survey published on Thursday. Artificial intelligence (AI), or the process by which computers or robots take on tasks that need human intelligence, is one of the key themes of this week's Web Summit in Lisbon.

The poll among 224 venture capitalists attending the conference showed 53 percent believed AI would destroy millions of jobs and 93 percent saw governments as unprepared for this.

The survey also found that 83 percent of the investors canvassed expect Britain's exit from the European Union to damage Europe's economy and 77 percent believe it will damage British startups. London is widely seen as the main tech startup hub in Europe, thanks to its large pool of talent and a much bigger pool of funding than in rival centers. Cities like Berlin, Amsterdam and Lisbon are eager to attract more tech startups.

The Web Summit, one of Europe's biggest tech conferences, is being held for the first time in Lisbon, with 53,000 attendees, after moving from Dublin where it was first launched in 2010. The venture capitalists taking part have more than $100 billion of capital in total to invest. The Web Summit conducted the poll on Nov. 7.

It comes as the UN warns as manufacturers increasingly turn to industrial robots, workers in developing countries will be hit hardest. So far, automation has largely been introduced to automotive, electrical, and electronics industries, posing a risk to low-wage workers in Mexico and many countries in Asia.

While workers in North America and other developed regions may also be affected by the shift, developing countries could soon lose 'about two thirds of all jobs' and risk the exploitation of low-wage workers in areas robots have yet to master. The use of robots will reduce the value of human labour in these settings as they act as a 'close substitute' for these workers, the report explains, putting many people out of jobs. 'The increased use of robots in developed countries risks eroding the traditional labour-cost advantage of developing countries,' the report says. 'The share of occupations that could experience significant automation is actually higher in developing counties than in more advanced ones, where many of these jobs have already disappeared, and this concerns about two thirds of all jobs.'

'In many labour-intensive industries, such as garment-making, widespread automation is not yet suitable,' the report explains. 'While robots have become cheaper, some developing countries continue to have a large pool of cheap labour. - Investors see artificial intelligence destroying millions of jobs: poll

11/15/16 - Robots will take your jobs, government will have to pay your wage (Basic Income)
Computers, intelligent machines, and robots seem like the workforce of the future. And as more and more jobs are replaced by technology, people will have less work to do and ultimately will be sustained by payments from the government, predicts Elon Musk, the iconic Silicon Valley futurist who is the founder and CEO of SolarCity, Tesla, and SpaceX. According to Musk, there really won't be any other options.

"There is a pretty good chance we end up with a universal basic income, or something like that, due to automation," says Musk to CNBC. "Yeah, I am not sure what else one would do. I think that is what would happen." In a country with universal basic income, each individual gets a regular check from the government.

Switzerland considered instituting a universal basic income of 2,500 Swiss francs ($2578) a month this summer. Voters ultimately rejected the plan, but it sparked a broad, global conversation.

But the optimistic Musk sees increased automation as an overall benefit to society, even an opportunity. "People will have time to do other things, more complex things, more interesting things," says Musk. "Certainly more leisure time." A long horizon of leisure time may sound good, but it can also be an intimating prospect. For many, having a job and someplace to be each day is grounding and gives purpose to life.

Even though Musk's ambition may be more outsized than most, many Americans would probably also want to continue doing some kind of work. Binge watching Netflix is only enjoyable for so long. - Robots will take your jobs, government will have to pay your wage (Basic Income)

11/15/16 - US Air Force experiments create 'supersoldiers' with enhanced mental skills by boosting brains with electric shocks
KeelyNet Used electrical brain stimulators to enhance the mental skills of soldiers. Could lead to treatments for drone operators, air crews and others. Tests showed shocks can 'augment and enhance multitasking capability'.

Military scientists in the US have revealed a series of experiments designs to create 'supersoldiers' with enhanced mental capabilities. The successful tests used electrical brain stimulators to enhance the mental skills of soldiers. It is hoped the research could lead to treatments for drone operators, air crews and others in demanding roles.

'Within the Air Force, various operations such as remotely piloted and manned aircraft operations require a human operator to monitor and respond to multiple events simultaneously over a long period of time,' researchers at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio wrote in the journal Frontiers in Human Neuroscience.

'With the monotonous nature of these tasks, the operator's performance may decline shortly after their work shift commences.' Brain stimulation kits use five electrodes to send weak electric currents through the skull and into specific parts of the cortex.

The team used a test developed by Nasa to assess subject, asking them to keep a crosshair inside a moving circle on a computer screen, while constantly monitoring and responding to three other tasks on the screen. The study consisted of 20 participants from Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (16 male and 4 female) with an average age of 31.1.

Half of the volunteers had a constant two milliamp current beamed into the brain for the 36-minute-long test, and the other half formed a control group who only received 30 seconds of stimulation at the start of the test.

Researchers were shocked to find those who had the treatment began to perform better than the control group just four minutes into the test. 'The findings provided new evidence that tDCS has the ability to augment and enhance multitasking capability in a human operator, the team wrote.

'Future research should be conducted to determine the longevity of the enhancement of transcranial direct current stimulation on multitasking performance, which has yet to be accomplished.' While electrical brain stimulation appears to have no harmful side effects, some experts say its long-term safety is unknown.

We don't know how the stimulation of one brain region affects the surrounding, unstimulated regions," Roy Hamilton, MD, MS, an assistant professor of Neurology and director of the Laboratory for Cognition and Neural Stimulation at University of Pennsylvania said. 'Stimulating one region could improve one's ability to perform one task but hurt the ability to perform another.' In addition, what a person is doing during tDCS - reading a book, watching TV, sleeping - can change its effects, researchers say. Which activity is best to achieve a certain change in brain function is not yet known. - US Air Force experiments create 'supersoldiers' with enhanced mental skills by boosting brains with electric shocks

11/15/16 - Denver To Hire Hundreds Of Homeless People To Work For The City
Over the next year, the city of Denver, Colorado will try something new. While some people will consider this outrageous, others will wonder why weve never tried this before: the city will make paying jobs available to the hundreds of homeless people without jobs.

The Denver Day Works Program started November 1st and is expected to run until next October. The program will offer day-by-day jobs to the people who are currently living on the streets. The work will be for the city and will include park maintenance, planting trees, and clearing snow. Spokesperson for Denver Human Services, Julie Smith said: We want it to be low to no barriers. No background checks. Do you want to work? Were going to put you to work today. The goal is to engage about 300 people, said Jenna Espinoza, spokesperson for the Mayor of Denver, Michael Hancock. The city is hoping that about half of those people will participate regularly and that eventually some of those people will move on to more permanent long-term jobs with the city of Denver, or elsewhere.

This is just a test run, so it may not work out, but it also may turn into something much, much bigger and encourage other cities to follow suit! The participants will be paid a starting wage of $12.59 an hour, which is actually quite a generous hourly wage. Participants can choose between a half a day and a full day of work.

The program will only allow each person to earn a maximum of $600. After participants reach that number through the program, they will hopefully be connected with more permanent jobs through Bayaud, which includes work in the private sector or for the city. This should keep the participants from having to file with the IRS. - Denver To Hire Hundreds Of Homeless People To Work For The City

11/15/16 - Saudi Arabia Has 100,000 Air Conditioned Empty Tents for 3 Million Yet Has Taken Zero Refugees
KeelyNet While European countries are being lectured about their failure to take in enough refugees, Saudi Arabia which has taken in precisely zero migrants has 100,000 air conditioned tents that can house over 3 million people sitting empty. The sprawling network of high quality tents are located in the city of Mina, spreading across a 20 square km valley, and are only used for 5 days of the year by Hajj pilgrims. As the website Amusing Planet reports, For the rest of the year, Mina remains pretty much deserted.

The tents, which measure 8 meters by 8 meters, were permanently constructed by the Saudi government in the 1990s and were upgraded in 1997 to be fire proof. They are divided into camps which include kitchen and bathroom facilities.

The tents could provide shelter for almost all of the 4 million Syrian refugees that have been displaced by the countrys civil war, which was partly exacerbated by Saudi Arabias role in funding and arming jihadist groups. Although Saudi Arabia claims it has taken in 500,000 Syrians since 2011, rights groups point out that these people are not allowed to register as migrants. Many of them are also legal immigrants who moved there for work. In comparison, Lebanon has accepted 1.3 million refugees more than a quarter of its population.

While it refuses to take in any more refugees, Saudi Arabia has offered to build 200 mosques for the 500,000 migrants a year expected to pour into Germany.

Saudis argue that the tents in Mina are needed to host the annual Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca, but given that the Arabic concept of Ummah is supposed to offer protection to all Muslims under one brotherhood, surely an alternative location could be found so that Mina can be repurposed to house desperate families fleeing war and ISIS persecution?

While Europe is being burdened by potentially millions of people who dont share the same culture or religion as the host population, Gulf Arab states refuse to pull their weight, resolving only to throw money at the problem. - Saudi Arabia Has 100,000 Air Conditioned Empty Tents for 3 Million Yet Has Taken Zero Refugees

11/15/16 - Hover foldable camera drone
Drone prices are falling all the time: DJIs Phantom 4 drone costs $1,100 and can avoid objects while tracking moving objects at over 25mph. And a new drone, from Chinese startup Hover Camera, aims to be the first affordable drone to normalize constant filminglike a pet paparazzo that can track your every move.

The Hover Camera is novel in that its exceedingly compact, and doesnt look like some alien structure, flashing with lights and odd vestigial legs as it flies. In fact, its just a black rectangle, similar to an old VHS tape in form and size.

The Hover also has a plastic mesh encasing for its propellors, meaning you can safely fly the drone inside, and even grab it while its flying. You could bump it into people or objects and not hurt them.

The drone also doesnt require any arduous setup like many consumer drones on the market tend to. You just charge the batteries, download the app, connect to its wifi network, and youre set.

You press the power button once to turn it on, and once more to make it hover, and you now have a flying camera that can track you with its 13-megapixel sensor, capturing your essence in 4K. - Hover foldable camera drone

11/15/16 - With Trump in Power, the Fed Gets Ready for a Reckoning
Today, a Democratic Fed leader is once again bracing to see whether victorious and emboldened Republicans will try to overhaul the central bank. In almost three years as the Feds chairwoman, Janet L. Yellen has led an aggressive campaign to stimulate economic growth. Donald J. Trump, the president-elect, has embraced criticism that the Fed is causing more problems than it is solving, and he has surrounded himself with advisers who would like to rein in the institution that has the greatest influence over the direction of the nations economy.

Mr. Trump can fill a majority of the Feds seven-member board with his own nominees over the next 18 months, including replacing Ms. Yellen in February 2018. He also could work with Congress on new constraints, including some form of an old idea on the right that a formula should dictate the Feds movements of interest rates.

Or Mr. Trump could emulate Mr. Reagan and leave the central bank alone. When the two men finally met, Mr. Reagan asked Mr. Volcker why the country needed a central bank. He apparently found the answer convincing. Like other presidents in recent decades, he decided the Fed was reasonably effective and useful as a scapegoat. And in 1983, he nominated Mr. Volcker for a second term. Mr. Trumps intentions are unclear in part because there is a tension between his personal preferences and his political commitments. He is a borrower who now heads the political party that has long represented the interests of lenders.

Mr. Trump has described himself as a low-interest-rate person, reflecting his background as a real estate investor who drew heavily on other peoples money. He also has promised to deliver stronger economic growth, a goal that could be inhibited by higher interest rates. Politicians their careers dependent on short-term economic performance generally favor low rates, even at the expense of future inflation. That is the very reason the Fed is insulated from political pressure.

Many of the advisers surrounding Mr. Trump, however, have long advocated that the Fed focus on controlling inflation, even at the expense of short-term growth. They have argued that the Fed has little power to increase economic activity beyond Wall Street and on Wall Street, they warn, the Fed is encouraging excessive speculation. Over the course of the campaign, Mr. Trump increasingly echoed those views. In early September, he said the Fed was supporting a very false economy by driving asset prices to what he described as unsustainable heights. We are in a big, fat, ugly bubble, Mr. Trump said during the first presidential debate, a few weeks later.

It may be surprisingly easy, however, for Mr. Trump and Ms. Yellen to find common ground. Like Mr. Reagan before him, Mr. Trump has promised tax cuts and increased spending on infrastructure and the military, which could provide a large dose of fiscal stimulus. If the economy starts growing quickly, it would be easier to raise rates. 11/10/16 - Scientists develop semiconductor-free microelectronics (nano vacuum tubes)
Translation theyve essentially created modern-day vacuum tube technology in nanoscale that could possibly replace the speed, wavelength and power handling of microelectronics beyond what is possible with todays semiconductors.

The problem with semiconductors, the team highlights, is that they can impose limits on a devices conductivity (electron flow). They also have a band gap meaning they require a boost of external energy to get electrons flowing through them. Because electrons are constantly colliding with atoms as they flow through the semiconductor, electron velocity is limited.

The engineering team wanted to remove this roadblock by replacing semiconductors with free electrons in space at the microscale. Doing so, however, requires either applying high voltages (a minimum of 100 volts), high-power lasers or extremely high temperatures (over 1,000 F) none of which are practical in micro or nanoscale electronic devices.

To circumvent the challenge, the team fabricated a metasurface on top of a silicon wafer with a layer of silicon dioxide between the two. The metasurface is unique in that it consists of an array of gold mushroom-like nanostructures on an array of parallel gold strips.

By applying a low DC voltage (less than 10 volts) and a low power infrared laser to the metasurface, it creates high-intensity electric fields that can free electrons in space.

Ebrahim Forati, a former postdoctoral researcher and first author of the study, said the proof-of-concept metasurface has exhibited a 1,000 percent change in conductivity in testing which means more available electrons for manipulation.

Team lead and electrical engineering professor Dan Sievenpiper said the method wont replace all semiconductor devices but it might be the best approach for specialty applications such as those that require high amounts of power or those that operate at very high frequencies. The next step, he said, is to understand how far the devices can be scaled and the limits of their performance. - Scientists develop semiconductor-free microelectronics (nano vacuum tubes)

11/10/16 - Donald Trumps Victory Promises to Upend the International Order
Donald J. Trumps stunning election victory on Tuesday night rippled way beyond the nations boundaries, upending an international order that prevailed for decades and raising profound questions about Americas place in the world.

For the first time since before World War II, Americans chose a president who promised to reverse the internationalism practiced by predecessors of both parties and to build walls both physical and metaphorical. Mr. Trumps win foreshadowed an America more focused on its own affairs while leaving the world to take care of itself.

The question is whether you will continue to be involved in international affairs as a dependable ally to your friends and allies, said Kunihiko Miyake, a former Japanese diplomat now teaching at Ritsumeikan University in Kyoto. If you stop doing that, then all the European, Middle Eastern and Asian allies to the United States will reconsider how they secure themselves.

In Germany, where American troops have been stationed for more than seven decades, the prospect of a pullback seemed bewildering. It would be the end of an era, Henrik Mller, a journalism professor at the Technical University of Dortmund, wrote in Der Spiegel. The postwar era in which Americans atomic weapons and its military presence in Europe shielded first the west and later the central European states would be over. Europe would have to take care of its own security.

And even some countries that might expect to see some benefits from an American retreat worried about the implications. Counterintuitive as it might seem, China was concerned about Mr. Trumps promise to pull American troops back from Asia. If he indeed withdraws the troops from Japan, the Japanese may develop their own nuclear weapons, said Shen Dingli, professor of international relations at Fudan University in Shanghai. South Korea may also go nuclear if Trump cancels the missile deployment and leaves the country alone facing the Norths threats. How is that good for China?

For American voters, that was not the point. After decades of worrying about what was good for other countries, they decided it was time to worry about what was good for America. And Mr. Trump promised to do just that, even if the rest of the world might not like it. - Donald Trumps Victory Promises to Upend the International Order

KeelyNet This device is based on the 1956 patent Home Nuclear Battery - power for 70 years - describing a low weight, compact nuclear battery which produces 10 amps at 100-110 volts for up to 70 years and requires appropriate shielding. This device produces 1000 watts and an average home requires between 5-10,000 watts so this device could be scaled up for home power. As well for electric cars which require some 30kw to 100kw to drive the electric motor.

A 1950s Electronic Device claiming Stimulation of Beta Decay might provide inexpensive, easily manufactured Thorium 233 Nuclear Generators - A device described in a 1956 European patent granted to Harold Colman and Ronald Gillespie has produced an intense research interest among alternate energy enthusiasts recently. (see http://www.rexresearch.com/colman/colman.htm)

The device produces a small electric current by thermo-coupling heat which is generated by stimulated radioactivity. This is so stated in the original patent: "The Cadmium, Phosphorus and Cobalt associated with the mixture becomes radio active and also releases electrical energy which is transmitted to the granulated copper and granulated zinc causing a current to flow there between in a similar manner to the current flow produced by a thermo couple."

A tube containing alternating cells of nonmagnetic zinc, a chemical mixture and then a cell of nonmagnetic copper is suspended in a magnetic field and bombarded with high frequency radio waves. The combination of magnetic field and radio wave bombardment induces radioactive emissions from the chemical mixture which, in turn, produces a temperature variation between the mixture and the copper and the zinc. The chemical mixture is composed of compounds of cobalt, phosphorous and cadmium.

How the Colman Device actually works - The Colman patent design is defective, but a defect which can be corrected by quantum dimensional mathematics and SRNRL beta-decay research. If The device actually works, it could only do so by aligning all the valence electron subshells of the Cobalt atoms under the magnetic field. This common realignment gives common orientation for the Cobalt electron magnetic fields which are naturally set at 90 to their natural nuclear capacitance fields. (see http://www.paradigmphysics.com/theory_of_MIT_data.pdf p.p.12-15)

When the aligned Cobalt atoms are bombarded with a radio signal, the 90 aligned natural fields of the Cobalt atoms are placed under Maxwell flux which introduces a time factor to the electric capacitance field and tries to force the field to discharge over that time factor. The field, however, is being continuously charged by a neutron-induced nuclear magnetic current. The radio wave attempt at forced field discharge puts back pressure against the neutron induction of the magnetic current. Because of the unique characteristics of the Cobalt's nuclear structure, this back pressure can result in the release of a neutron from the nucleus without eliminating the crystalline nuclear structure which is required for the transition metallic bonding of Cobalt. (for explanation of transition metallic bonding see reference above)

If this Cobalt neutron is released, it would be released as a "thermalized" neutron with an energy state similar to the temperature of the materials. This is true because the back pressure which releases the neutron is against the "free-charge spin" of the neutron's attached neutrino. The neutron's "free-charge spin" is inducting proton spin temperature into the magnetic current (see above reference in the "APPENDIX" p.p. 14-15) . That is, the neutron is released by a direct counter force against the nuclear heat energy which the neutron is inducting into the nuclear magnetic current. The release does not constitute a "prompt" neutron which has been released by particle collision with the nucleus during nuclear fission.

Because the neutron is released by a direct counter force against nuclear temperature, it is immediately a "thermalized" neutron; one which would be instantly available to the Phosphorous and Cadmium nuclei without further modification of its energy state. The "thermalized" neutron could instantaneously breed the beta decaying isotopes of Phosphorous 32 and Cadmium 113 from the natural Phosphorous 31 and natural Cadmium 112 contained in the chemical mix.

The chemical mix consists of 1 part of the Cobalt Nitrate Hydrate "Co(NO3)26H2O," two parts of apparent Cadmium Chloride (the wrong chemical formula is given in the patent) and three parts of a tri-calcium phosphate hydroxide ( again a suspect chemical formula is given in the patent substituting "Ca3(PO3)2-OH" for the standard "Ca3(PO4)2-OH.")

The chemical compounding not withstanding, the active elements are the Cobalt, Phosphorus and Cadmium since the last two elements are the only components of the compounds with a beta-decaying radioactive isotope which can be made by absorption of one extra neutron. - The Cobalt/Thorium Beta-Control Nuclear Generator

11/10/16 - World's oldest living person has eaten 3 eggs a day for over 90 years
In a time when 'medical science' has everyone so scared to eat even the most wholesome of things comes a 117-year-old reminder that good, clean food is the key to long life, not that pre-packaged, processed stuff lining most grocery store shelves these days. As noted by the "Today" show, just a year after a New York super-centenarian told the world that she ate bacon every day, an Italian woman who has succeeded her as the world's oldest living person is revealing that she is an egg lover, and that it's been a daily part of her diet for nearly a century.

Emma Morano, who was born in 1899, turns 117 in November. And she says she eats two eggs per day and that's it, along with some cookies. She says she can't eat much more than that "because I have no teeth."

In an interview with Agence France Presse Morano said she turns 117 on Nov. 27. She said that her daily egg routine began when she was suffering from a health crisis at the age of 20. Diagnosed with anemia, she consulted a doctor who told her she should eat three eggs per day two raw and one cooked. And she continued to keep that dietary advice for more than 90 years, meaning she has eaten more than 100,000 eggs.

"Adding raw eggs or just raw egg yolks to your daily smoothie or whisked into homemade chocolate milk or soup is a convenient way to boost your intake of vitamins, minerals and fat-soluble vitamins. Consuming the egg yolks raw also preserves the vitamin B6 content, which is diminished with heat." - World's oldest living person has eaten 3 eggs a day for over 90 years

Last night I was expecting to hear that Johns brother Gary had passed. That part was true, but what I wasnt prepared for was that 4 hours after Gary, John had died unexpectedly as well.

Its always painful to lose a close friend especially when they were so influential in many areas of ones life. Im stunned and speechless and dont even know what to say. I will post more details when I learn more. There is a lot I would like to say about John right now, but just cant. In the meantime, please send your thoughts and prayers to Johns wife Ronda and the rest of his family. The way Herman Anderson explains it, deuterium is created in an electrolysis, or, more correctly, radiolysis chamber when deionized or ozonated water (with pH 12 KOH) is hit with 70,000 volts pulsed in a standing wave through a 14" OD soft steel cathode and anode, spaced just over 3" apart. Whether there are other ways of making it, I don't know. But I don't think the world in general knows that it can be made this way. Where's that guy who wanted to make some money? People associate it with the hydrogen bomb, probably thinking it is radioactive, which it is not. Maybe that's why no one has been experimenting with it as fuel for our cars, etc.

Herman Anderson declared that his hydrogen ICE was becoming a partial steam engine by the use of micron-sized water injection. With regard to the danger of the "radiation" from the 70,000 volts, a mechanic came through the museum last month and said that Cadillacs now use a 100,000 volt ignition coil! Obviously there needs to be shielding, and you don't want to get shocked by it; it could be lethal. But what was considered dangerous EM radiation on Herman's car a few years ago is now part of standard ignition equipment on others. He claimed greater power than gasoline, and 38 miles per gallon of water.

11/05/16 - Researchers Make a High-Performance Battery From Junkyard Scraps
A team of engineers and materials scientists at Vanderbilt University have discovered how to make high-performance batteries using scraps of metal from the junkyard and common household chemicals. The researchers believe their innovation could provide the large amounts of economical electrical storage required by the grid to handle alternative energy sources and may ultimately allow homeowners to build their own batteries and disconnect entirely from the grid.

Vanderbilt University News reports: "To make such a future possible, Pint headed a research team that used scraps of steel and brass -- two of the most commonly discarded materials -- to create the world's first steel-brass battery that can store energy at levels comparable to lead-acid batteries while charging and discharging at rates comparable to ultra-fast charging supercapacitors.

The research team, which consists of graduates and undergraduates in Vanderbilt's interdisciplinary materials science program and department of mechanical engineering, describe this achievement in a paper titled 'From the Junkyard to the Power Grid: Ambient Processing of Scrap Metals into Nanostructured Electrodes for Ultrafast Rechargeable Batteries' published online this week in the journal ACS Energy Letters.

The secret to unlocking this performance is anodization, a common chemical treatment used to give aluminum a durable and decorative finish. When scraps of steel and brass are anodized using a common household chemical and residential electrical current, the researchers found that the metal surfaces are restructured into nanometer-sized networks of metal oxide that can store and release energy when reacting with a water-based liquid electrolyte.

The team determined that these nanometer domains explain the fast charging behavior that they observed, as well as the battery's exceptional stability. They tested it for 5,000 consecutive charging cycles -- the equivalent of over 13 years of daily charging and discharging -- and found that it retained more than 90 percent of its capacity." - Researchers Make a High-Performance Battery From Junkyard Scraps

11/05/16 - National Geographic Releases Alarming Climate Change Movie 'Before the Flood' On YouTube
National Geographic's Climate Change movie "Before The Flood," featuring actor-activist Leonardo DiCaprio, can now be viewed freely on Youtube. One of the most interesting points in the movie comes at around the 23 minute mark. At 23 minutes, scientist Michael E. Mann, famous for co-discovering the "hockey stick graph" via eigenvector based climate field reconstruction (CFR), recounts how media like the Wall Street Journal demonized him for his research, how he received death threats from unknown sources, how Congress grilled him about whether his scientific methods are credible, and how he even received an envelope in the mail with strange white powder in it.

The movie is worth watching because it shows very clearly that a) man-made climate change is happening and that b) the negative effects of climate change are already impacting many areas of the world.

Before the Flood, directed by Fisher Stevens, captures a three-year personal journey alongside Academy Award-winning actor and U.N. Messenger of Peace Leonardo DiCaprio as he interviews individuals from every facet of society in both developing and developed nations who provide unique, impassioned and pragmatic views on what must be done today and in the future to prevent catastrophic disruption of life on our planet. - National Geographic Releases Alarming Climate Change Movie 'Before the Flood' On YouTube

11/05/16 - You Can Legally Hack Your Own Car, Pacemaker, or Smartphone Now
Last Friday, a new exemption to the decades-old law known as the Digital Millennium Copyright Act quietly kicked in, carving out protections for Americans to hack their own devices without fear that the DMCA's ban on circumventing protections on copyrighted systems would allow manufacturers to sue them.

(Editor's note: the website may block users who use adblocking tools. Here's an alternate source). One exemption, crucially, will allow new forms of security research on those consumer devices. Another allows for the digital repair of vehicles. Together, the security community and DIYers are hoping those protections, which were enacted by the Library of Congress's Copyright Office in October of 2015 but delayed a full year, will spark a new era of benevolent hacking for both research and repair.

"This is a tremendously important improvement for consumer protection," says Andrea Matwyshyn, a professor of law and computer science at Northeastern University. "The Copyright Office has demonstrated that it understands our changed technological reality, that in every aspect of consumers' lives, we rely on code," says Matwyshyn, who argued for the exemptions last year.

For now, the exemptions are limited to a two-year trial period. And the security research exemption in particular only applies to what the Copyright Office calls "good-faith" testing, "in a controlled environment designed to avoid any harm to individuals or to the public." As Matwyshyn puts it, "We're not talking about testing your neighbor's pacemaker while it's implanted. We're talking about a controlled lab and a device owned by the researcher." - You Can Legally Hack Your Own Car, Pacemaker, or Smartphone Now

11/05/16 - The ghostly hand that spaced the planets
KeelyNet For more than two centuries it has been known that the distances of planets from the Sun follow a simple and mysterious law. Now, at long last, two French scientists have come up with a plausible explanation.

The best way to see the law is to write down the sequence 0, 3, 6, 12 and so on, where each number is obtained by doubling its predecessor. Next, add 4 to each number, and divide the result by 10. Now get out any astronomy textbook and look up the distances of the planets from the Sun in astronomical units, the Earth-Sun distance being defined as 1. The distances are virtually identical to the terms in the number sequence for all but the outermost planets.

This curious coincidence has divided astronomers into two camps ever since its publication in 1766 by the Prussian astronomer Johann Daniel Titius. Some think it really is just a coincidence, while others think it reflects an undiscovered feature of the Solar System.

For a mere coincidence, the law has an astonishing track record. Shortly after Titiuss announcement, his compatriot Johann Bode suggested that the lack of a known planet at 2.8 astronomical units, the fifth term in the series, might make a search for the missing planet worthwhile. Bodes idea got a major boost in 1781 with the discovery of Uranus, the first planet to be found since antiquity. According to the Titius-Bode law, Uranus should lie at 19.6 astronomical units; it was found 19.2 astronomical units from the Sun.

By 1796, Bode had persuaded a group of astronomers to hunt for the missing planet between Mars and Jupiter. Five years later it turned up: the minor planet Ceres, 1000 kilometres across and orbiting at 2.8 astronomical units from the Sun just where the Titius-Bode law predicted.

Some years later, astronomers found that the newly discovered Uranus was mysteriously wandering off course, prompting some to wonder if yet another missing planet was pulling it off course, this time orbiting at the vacant eighth Titius-Bode position of 38.8 astronomical units. In 1842, the young Cambridge mathematician John Couch Adams based his first stab at solving the mystery on the idea of a planet sitting at this eighth position. So did Urbain Le Verrier, the distinguished French astronomer who in 1846 pipped Adams and a lacklustre British team in the race to find the missing planet, now called Neptune.

Ironically, it was this apparent triumph for the Titius-Bode law that led to its current uncertain status among astronomers. The orbit of Neptune turned out to have a radius of 30.1 astronomical units, which is much lower than the law predicts. The final straw came in 1930, when Pluto was discovered at about 40 astronomical units barely more than half the 77.2 predicted by the law.

So, were all the earlier successes of the Titius-Bode law merely flukes? Today, the relationship is widely seen as no more than a numerological curiosity. Sceptics point to research showing that even random numbers subject to plausible constraints can be persuaded to obey such a law (Nature, vol 242, p 318).

    KeelyNet

The Logarithmic Spiral Basis of the Titius-Bode Law - A solution is proposed for a 238-year old astronomical mystery: why do all planets in the Solar System except Neptune and Pluto obey the Titius-Bode Law?

The spiral arms of the planetary nebula from which the Solar System formed had the geometry of a lograrithmic spiral. When they segmented and spread out into elliptical rings around the proto-sun, the size of each ring was set by successive revoltions of the spiral.

Each annulus narrowed as its material accreted through collision, gravitationally aggregating into planetesimals and then into a planet. The arithmetic mean of the radii of each ring set the distance of the planet from the asymptotic centre of the logarithmic spiral.

The Titius-Bode Law reflects the fact that these averages are the wavelengths of perfect fourths of the undertones of the Pythagorean musical scale.

Because Mercury's orbit is not concentric with those of other planets, astronomers misintepreted the first term in the relationship as the average distance of this planet from the Sun, whereas it is the distance of the asymptotic centre from the Sun, these distances being almost equal.

The eight-fold patterns of electrons in atomic shells, of baryons and mesons and of the notes of the musical scale suggest that planets, too, group in octets conforming to the self-similar, scale-invariant geometry of the logarithmic spiral.

As members of the re-scaled, second octet, Neptune and Pluto have predicted average distances from the Sun in good agreement with their known values. The predicted average distance of the next planet beyond Pluto agrees exactly with that of an object recently detected with an almost circular orbit.

The Solar System exhibits beautiful, arithmetic properties expressed in terms of the integers 1, 2, 3 and 4. The number values of the Hebrew Godnames determine planetary distances. Remarkably, the group-theoretical parameter 248 of superstring theory emerges as the distance (in units of one-tenth the Earth-Sun distance) between the outer edges of the rings generating Earth and Pluto.

KeelyNet Keelys Harmony of the Spheres - The most amusing and almost whimsical correlation to this paper is the photo of Keelys "Vibratory Planetary Globe" which was reported to emulate the orbits of every planet in our solar system when energized. Keely built it to study the mathematics of how planets orbited.

Each sphere represented one of the planets with the central globe representing our sun.

When powered up, all spheres rose up into the air, the small spheres took their respective orbital locations as they moved away from the large central sphere. The story says a witness jumped up and grabbed one of these orbiting spheres and it held him up suspended in the air as he spun around the room. Kind of like the movie Explorers with their electrical point in space that moves through space. - The ghostly hand that spaced the planets

11/05/16 - Irish millionaire to be buried in cardboard tube

    KeelyNet

Frederick (Fred) Norman Lee will become, it is believed, the first person ever to be buried in a cardboard cylinder coffin. Mr Lee a father-of-12, grandfather-of-33 and great-grandfather-of-17, passed away at the age of 97 during the week. A member of the Royal Navy during World War II, Mr Lee was originally from Dublin city centre and became a self-made multi-millionaire.

After the war he returned to Ireland where he set up a laundry business in Rathgar, washing nappies and sheets from childrens hospitals. From there he was approached by pharmaceutical company Johnson & Johnson to package talcum powder for childrens hospitals in cardboard canisters and his business evolved to manufacturing general cardboard containers. In the 1950s, he established the highly successful Industrial Packaging Limited, in Bray, Co Wicklow, which is now run by some of his sons.

It was his wish to be buried in a cardboard tube and his family have made the necessary arrangements to grant that wish. While there are eco companies which sell cardboard coffins, being buried in a cardboard tube is a different matter. Dad always said why dont we use cardboard tubes to bury people? You can use a boring drill to make the hole in the ground and bury people standing up, which is usual in some religions, his fifth son, Ken Lee, told the Herald. You can bury them facing Rome, or Mecca or whatever way the want, he said. Its very practical.

The tube Mr Lee will be buried in has a diameter of 650mm (26") and would usually be used for casting concrete columns. His son explained that the cardboard can be more durable than wood. It is 12 sheets, each covered in a layer of water-proof glue, he said. He was the king of the cardboard tubes and now hes going to be buried in one, he added. Fred will go to meet his maker in one of his own tubes and may he rest in peace. Mr Lees coffin tube has been engraved with how he was the loving husband of Patricia and proud father of his children.

While Mr Lee spoke about being buried vertically, he will be buried horizontally because, as he is being placed into the same grave as his late wife, it would have been logistically difficult to do it that way. Having spoken to the undertaker, the family were told that there were no problems with the plan. The other option Mr Lee had suggested for his burial was at sea. After the war he remained a keen seaman and was a member of a number of yacht clubs.

But his family believed the cardboard tube would be a more fitting send off. He had spoken about his new idea for coffins over the last 35 years. His family are so proud of the what he achieved in life. Dad died a multi-millionaire, but when he came back from the Royal Navy, he had nothing, his son said. Mr Lee lived the final years of his life in The Park, Cabinteely, in south Dublin. His remains will be driven past his factory at 12.30pm today, before a funeral service in St Patricks Church, Greystones, Co Wicklow. - Irish millionaire to be buried in cardboard tube

11/05/16 - Brain implants to copy cell functions
The human brain is a complex organism which operates because of cellular activity. The combination of cell activity creates functions such as simple reflexes or learning and memory. A multitude of cells, within the brain, creates large networks or groups of neurons; scientists seek to track these cells to understand basic functions and complex functions. Upon the collection of recorded data from said functions, researchers could then use that data to create a fully functional brain-computer interface.

Conventional methods have allowed scientists to record the activity of neurons for minutes, but the new bionic hybrid neurochip will allow researchers to record activity in animal brain cells for weeks at a much higher resolution.

These chips are 15 times more sensitive than conventional neuro chips, says Naweed Syed, PhD, scientific director of the University of Calgary, Cumming School of Medicines Alberta Childrens Hospital Research Institute, member of the Hotchkiss Brain Institute and senior author on the study. This allows brain cell signals to be amplified more easily and to see real time recordings of brain cell activity at a resolution that has never been achieved before.

In general, the term cognitive computing has been used to refer to new hardware and/or software that mimics the functioning of the human brain and helps to improve human decision-making. In this sense, CC is a new type of computing with the goal of more accurate models of how the human brain/mind senses, reasons, and responds to stimulus. CC applications link data analysis and adaptive page displays (AUI) to adjust content for a particular type of audience. As such, CC hardware and applications strive to be more affective and more influential by design.

IBM describes the components used to develop, and behaviors resulting from, systems that learn at scale, reason with purpose and interact with humans naturally. According to them, while sharing many attributes with the field of artificial intelligence, it differentiates itself via the complex interplay of disparate components, each of which comprise their own individual mature disciplines.

The brain chips mentioned above will allow scientists to attempt to mimic human brain function on a cellular level directly.

KeelyNet This reminds me of the Zombie Scorpion. - Ed said when he was going to graduate school, they used to take live scorpions, insert fine wires at the base of their neck, into the spinal cord, and connect the wires to an audio tape recorder.

They would then let the scorpion walk around, sometimes teasing it to get a more complex set of responses.

The electrical signals coursing through the spinal cord would be recorded on the tape machine. The scorpion would then be subjected to a toxic gas to kill it without doing damage to the body, all the while leaving the wires inserted in its neck.

Ed said once the scorpion was dead, they would play back the tape and the scorpion would walk around, recreating all the recorded actions. The cool thing was you could play the tape backward and the scorpion would move backward, arching its tail and all.

This could be done several times before the conductivity of the tissue started to decay and the organism would no longer respond. Ed said this process only works with simpler organisms. - JWD - Brain implants to copy cell functions

11/05/16 - Physicists Induce Superconductivity In Non-Superconducting Materials
Researchers at the University of Houston have reported a new method for inducing superconductivity in non-superconducting materials, demonstrating a concept proposed decades ago but never proven. The technique can also be used to boost the efficiency of known superconducting materials, suggesting a new way to advance the commercial viability of superconductors, said Paul C.W. Chu, chief scientist at the Texas Center for Superconductivity at UH and corresponding author of a paper describing the work, published Oct. 31 in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.

The research, demonstrating a new method to take advantage of assembled interfaces to induce superconductivity in the non-superconducting compound calcium iron arsenide, offers a new approach to finding superconductors that work at higher temperatures. Superconducting materials conduct electric current without resistance, while traditional transmission materials lose as much as 10 percent of energy between the generating source and the end user.

That means superconductors could allow utility companies to provide more electricity without increasing the amount of fuel used to generate electricity.

To validate the concept, researchers working in ambient pressure exposed the undoped calcium iron arsenide compound to heat -- 350 degrees Centigrade, considered relatively low temperature for this procedure -- in a process known as annealing. The compound formed two distinct phases, with one phase increasingly converted to the other the longer the sample was annealed.

Chu said neither of the two phases was superconducting, but researchers were able to detect superconductivity at the point when the two phases coexist. Although the superconducting critical temperature of the sample produced through the process was still relatively low, Chu said the method used to prove the concept offers a new direction in the search for more efficient, less expensive superconducting materials. - Physicists Induce Superconductivity In Non-Superconducting Materials

11/05/16 - It's Harder To Get an Uber or Lyft If You're Black, Study Says
Black riders have to wait "significantly longer" for their Uber cabs and experience "double" the cancellation rates of white passengers, according to a new study published by the National Bureau of Economic Research. The study, which also observed a similar pattern among Lyft drivers, claims it has found "significant evidence of racial discrimination" in ride-hailing services based on a pair of experiments in Seattle and Boston.

From a report on Time: Researchers pulled data from more than 1,400 field tests conducted using mostly Uber and Lyft, but also traditional taxi services. The findings in Boston and Seattle showed evidence of discrimination that manifested in either longer waits or a higher likelihood for cancellation.

In Seattle, African-American UberX users on average waited 5 minutes and 15 seconds for pick-ups -- roughly 30% longer than white riders, who waited 4 minutes on average. Lyft users did not experience a significant difference during the experiment.

When the research assistants switched between using white-sounding and African-American-sounding names, they did not find a significant increase in their wait times.

But the overall rates at which drivers canceled the ride after it was assigned to them was more than one in 10 for riders with black-sounding names, roughly double than for riders with white-sounding names. - It's Harder To Get an Uber or Lyft If You're Black, Study Says

11/04/16 - Homeland Security says Hillary committed TREASON
Paris Swade for Liberty Writers reports, THIS IS MASSIVE. You need to read this. The Department of Homeland Security just came out and said that Clintons actions amount to treason.

"She would need to have taken money from our adversaries to be treason....and she did...."

"Since our country is at "war", treason is punishable by death."

"Remember China-gate from 1996? Then President Bill Clinton authorized the sale of sensitive US technology to China and Chinese money was donated to his re-election campaign! Was Hillary playing the same game, selling US secrets delivered via a private server with weaker security than the Ashley Madison website in exchange for "donations" to her "charitable" foundation? It is time to look past the server itself to what may be the biggest spy scandal in US history!"

"So we let traitors run for president now? Homeland security should be putting a stop to this circus of an election. Drag her away in chains!!!"

"Why hasn't she been arrested yet? Whos stopping the FBI from arresting Hillary?"

"Assange should not be tried for anything to begin with. He did not hack the e-mails. He just brought them to the light for all to see how corrupt the US government is. What did Assange do that is a crime? All those who have aided in taking down these criminals should be praised as patriots." - Homeland Security says Hillary committed TREASON

11/04/16 - Obama Administration Tries to Fire FBIs Comey Over Hillary Investigation!
According to the New York Post, Obama and Jarrett were furious with Comey for reopening the investigation into Hillarys email server less than 2 weeks before the election, and blame the FBI director for Clintons sliding poll numbers.

One source claims Valerie argued that Comey was interfering deliberately in the election process and had to be stopped. The president said he was worried about the consequences of taking such an action the tsunami of outrage that would come his way, and possibly become a major footnote, or worse, in the history of his presidency. There is also the real possibility that such an action could backfire on the president and result in a Saturday Night Massacre.

While there is precedent for a president to fire his FBI Director, such an action just days before a close election would be suicidal and a political disaster. The post notes that while Obama claims he doesnt want to get involved in the FBIs investigation, he did say it was important to follow a practice of not allowing intimations or suggestions to pervade the publics view of the case.

Does it surprise you that Obamas top aides would want FBI Director Comey to be fired for simply doing his job and investigating potential criminal activity by Hillary Clinton? Would it be political suicide for Obama to fire Comey? - Obama Administration Tries to Fire FBIs Comey Over Hillary Investigation!

11/04/16 - Biggest Scandal In US History Developing As Official Confirms Clinton Emails Found on Weiners Computer
The emails found are not duplicates of ones that were reviewed by the FBI in its earlier investigation, CBS quoted a federal official as saying. The emails came from Weiners wife and close Clinton aide Huma Abedin, who separated from Weiner after he was involved in sending lewd pictures of himself to various women, allegedly including an underage girl. Jerome Corsi, a senior staff writer at WND.com, stumbled onto the scheme in August when looking at emails released by the watchdog group Judicial Watch. He pieced together the address where Abedin was sending them.

As soon as I had that, I realized that she was sending many classified State Department emails offline to Yahoo, which is completely insecure. She was sending both emails she received at State.gov and emails she received at the private server, Corsi explained. Other sources have noted that Abedin forwarded emails to herself to print outside the State Department. Corsi noted that as he pieced together the picture, Abedin was not alone.

Hillary was sending emails from Clintonmail.com to Huma Abedin at Yahoo.com. They were both involved, and they completely compromised the State Department security, because anybody that had the password or username could read, in unredacted form, all these emails in real time, Corsi said. Corsi said there is no question there was sensitive, classified information included in these emails.

It was really the FBI and the New York Police Department that decided to go knock on Weiners door with a search warrant, Corsi said. Once they found the computer and the emails, they knew they had a case. This way, they didnt have to go get permission

Corsi said that, to him, the NYPD involvement was crucial. With the NYPD in on it, in addition to the Department of Justice in New York, theres no way to contain the case by saying youre not allowed to pursue it from the FBIs point of view. The New York Police Department said, Well, well pursue it, he said. Corsi suggested Clinton and Abedin moved all the emails in preparation for a pay-to-play scheme. - Biggest Scandal In US History Developing As Official Confirms Clinton Emails Found on Weiners Computer

Academy Award-winning actor Jon Voight took to social media Saturday to defend Republican candidate Donald Trump's controversial remarks about women and criticize fellow movie star Robert De Niro for making disparaging remarks about the real estate mogul.

"Midnight Cowboy" star Voight, who has supported several Republican politicians over the years, said on Twitter that Trump's remarks to "Access Hollywood" host Billy Bush in 2005 "were not as damaging as Robert DeNiros [sic] ugly rant. Trumps words did not hurt anyone." Voight also said of the recorded comments, which were first disclosed by The Washington Post Friday, "I dont know of too many men who havent expressed some sort of similar sexual terms toward women, especially in their younger years."

De Niro lashed out at Trump in a video released Friday as part of a get-out-the-vote project. In it, the "Raging Bull" star said of Trump, "he's a punk, he's a dog, he's a pig, he's a con, a bulls--- artist, a mutt who doesn't know what he's talking about." "It makes me so angry that this country has gotten to this point that this fool, this bozo, has wound up where he has," De Niro added. "He talks how he'd like to punch people in the face? Well, I'd like to punch him in the face."

Voight concluded his Twitter spurt by "calling for all Trump supporters to express their outrage and anger against DeNiro [sic] and all of the Republican turncoats against Trump. Let Donald Trump know we are completely behind him, and may God give him the strength to continue his calling. Voight narrated a biographical video of Trump that was used to introduce the GOP nominee at this summer's Republican National Convention. 11/02/16 - Steve Pieczenik from behind the scenes
KeelyNet Pieczenik says that a group of US intelligence agents from over 15 organizations supplied WikiLeaks with all of the emails, which have flooded the Clinton campaign and discredited many of its members, in recent weeks but he also explains that their job is hardly done. Below is the transcript of this shocking video announcement:

On November 1, 2016, Hillary and Bill Clinton and their entourage of assistants effected a civilian coup. In contrast to the usual concept of a coup, where the militarys involved and takes over the White House and communication centers, very much like the scenarios you see in a movie, this coup was done silently and very effectively through two methods: corruption and co-optation.

The Clintons have been involved in co-opting our White House, our Judiciary, our CIA, our Federal Bureau of Investigation, our Attorney General, Loretta Lynch and our Director of the FBI, James Comey for some time now.

What theyve done is to make sure that they were part and parcel of a group of people who were interrelated through political cronyism. However, in order to stop this coup, we in the intelligence community and others involved have informally gotten together and with their permission, I am beginning to announce that weve initiated a counter-coup through Julian Assange and WikiLeaks.

What has happened, in effect, when Comey had to open up the case of Hillary Clinton and discuss the emails that were involved with the Anthony Weiner case, it was not the case, itself that was as important as the fact that this was the entre for many of us in the counter-coup to say to the Administration, We have your number. Not only do we have your number, were going to stop you from making Hillary the President of the United States and at the same time, we will in convict and indict the President of the United States, Loretta Lynch and many others who are involved in the cover-up of the massive corruption that occurred under the Clinton Foundation.

Now, in both cases, their coup was silent and our counter-coup was silent and it was all a transpired or occurred on the internet and this is probably the first time in the history of any country where a coup was initiated through the internet and a counter-coup was initiated through the Internet.

I am just a small part of something far bigger than myself. It was the brave men and women who are in the FBI, the CIA the Director of Intelligence, the military intelligence and men and women in 15 other intelligence organizations who are sick and tired of seeing this corruption in the White House and the Justice Department and the intelligence system and we decided that there was something we had to, do in order to save the Republic.

So we initiated a counter-coup through Julian Assange, who has been very brave and really quite formidable, in his ability to come forth and provide all the necessary emails that we gave to him in order to undermine Hillary and Bill Clinton.

Again, America were going through a major, major transition and quite frankly a Second American Revolution. We do not have guns, we do not have weapons, we do not intend to kill anybody, we do not intend to harm anybody but we, the American public and those of us who serve as veterans and in intelligence service, like myself will stop the Clintons from assuming power that they dont deserve.

At the same time, we will make certain that Obama leaves, without any trail of a pardon or any other act of treason. In effect, we want a peaceful transition in this great American Republic. I bring you this news and I want you to understand what has happened. A moment of history is occurring right now in front of us and Im proud to explain it to you.

In the next video post made by Dr. Pieczenik, he gets into some of the shockingly horrible revelations about both Bill and Hillarys involvement in a pedophile sex ring, along with convicted pedophile, Jeffrey Epstein, in whose private plane, the Lolita Express the Clintons both separately and together on between 20-30 occasions visited a private island in the Bahamas where young girls were prostituted to them and to other powerful people from around the world, including Prince Andrew, the Duke of York, son of Queen Elizabeth II. - Steve Pieczenik from behind the scenes

New York Police Department detectives and prosecutors working an alleged underage sexting case against former Congressman Anthony Weiner have turned over a newly-found laptop he shared with wife Huma Abedin to the FBI with enough evidence to put Hillary (Clinton) and her crew away for life, NYPD sources told True Pundit. NYPD sources said Clintons crew also included several unnamed yet implicated members of Congress in addition to her aides and insiders.

NYPD detectives and a NYPD Chief, the departments highest rank under Commissioner, said openly that if the FBI and Justice Department fail to garner timely indictments against Clinton and co- conspirators, NYPD will go public with the damaging emails now in the hands of FBI Director James Comey and many FBI field offices.

Whats in the emails is staggering and as a father, it turned my stomach, the NYPD Chief said. There is not going to be any Houdini-like escape from what we found. We have copies of everything. We will ship them to Wikileaks or I will personally hold my own press conference if it comes to that.

The NYPD Chief said once Comey saw the alarming contents of the emails he was forced to reopen a criminal probe against Clinton. People are going to prison, he said. NYPD sources said Weiner or Abedin stored all the emails in a massive Microsoft Outlook program on the laptop. The emails implicate other current and former members of Congress and one high-ranking Democratic Senator as having possibly engaged in criminal activity too, sources said.

According to other uncovered emails, Abedin and Clinton both sent and received thousands of classified and top secret documents to personal email accounts including Weiners unsecured campaign web site which is managed by Democratic political consultants in Washington D.C.

Perhaps more alarming, according to the FBIs 302 Report detailing its interview with Abedin, none of the multiple FBI agents and Justice Department officials who conducted the interview pressed Abedin to further detail the email address linked to Weiner. There was never a follow up, according to the 302 report. But now, all that has changed, with the FBIs decision to reopen the Clinton email investigation and the husband and wife seeking immunity deals to testify against Clinton and other associates about the contents of the laptops emails. - BREAKING BOMBSHELL: NYPD Blows Whistle on New Hillary Emails: Money Laundering, Sex Crimes with Children, Child Exploitation, Pay to Play, Perjury

11/02/16 - Preet Bharara The Hero You Never Heard Of
KeelyNet Preet Bharara is the U.S. Prosecuting Attorney for the Southern District of New York. Pray for him. It was he and the New York Police Department (NYPD) that have forced the FBI into doing its job with respect to Hillary Clinton and her emails. It was the NYPD that discovered the full, uncut, actual emails on Anthony Wieners laptop, but more importantly, it was the NYPD and Preet Bharara who brought the information forward instead of trying to paper it over.

They forced the FBIs hand. They made it impossible for Director Comey to cover Hillarys butt and his own at the same time. Its one or the other, Jack.

The brave men of the NYPD who are actually responsible for the second FBI investigation of Mrs. Clintons emails and who faithfully did their jobs, are now targets for the Clinton Mafia and the Bar Association thugs and DNC and FBI which doesnt appreciate having its laundry cleaned for them in public no matter how filthy dirty it is. Watch for the small print announcements of deaths and obituaries in New York, looking for Preet Bhararas name and the names of men and women working for the NYPD Investigations Unit. Make it your business to check in on Preets health in the coming days. Pray for him. Light a candle.

Better still, pay attention and if anything happens to him or his family or even his dog - come down on the media and the politicians and the FBI like the Wrath of God. Any attempt to wave any flags and claim that the FBI has redeemed itself by reopening the Hillary Files needs to be doused with the real world facts of the matter. It was the NYPD that held the line and did the job and forced the FBI to do theirs.

Thank you, Preet Bharara, for doing that simple, extraordinary thing: telling the truth. I will remember your name and look for you among the heroes of all that is good. - Preet Bharara The Hero You Never Heard Of

Ya think there might be a little bias in the news?

Video #1 - Hannity 10/12/16 | Sean Hannity exposes Media Bias against Donald Trump, Eric Trump interview. "The words ethics and journalist should never be used in the same sentence," Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke told Sean Hannity. "All of our institutions of government have been infected by this corruption and to put Mrs. Bill Clinton in the White House would ...only deepen it," he said. "When Loretta Lynch meets Bill Clinton on the tarmac days before they make the decision not to charge Mrs. Bill Clinton, with a mound of evidence of criminal activity...when Eric Holder wouldn't turn over papers to Congress as he was supposed to do by law... the IRS with ...the attacks on conservative 501c3's." Clarke said the establishment in Washington is "thumb[ing] their nose at the rule of law." "The law only pertains to you, I and the little guy, and it doesn't pertain to them."

Video #2 - Biased CNN reporters gets owned by Donald Trump as they try to push their completely inaccurate agenda. Don't believe in the brainwashing manipulation propaganda that the bias mainstream media promotes, if you let it take advantage of you, then you will be a mindless zombie who will believe in their inaccurate statements/lies without real fact checking. - So you think News isn't Controlled?

KeelyNet BBS Files w/bonus PDF of 'Keely and his Discoveries'
KeelyNet Finally, I've gotten around to compiling all the files (almost 1,000 - about 20MB and lots of work doing it) from the original KeelyNet BBS into a form you can easily navigate and read using your browser, ideally Firefox but it does work with IE. Most of these files are extremely targeted, interesting and informative, I had forgotten just how much but now you can have the complete organized, categorized set, not just sprinklings from around the web. They will keep you reading for weeks if not longer and give you clues and insights into many subjects and new ideas for investigation and research. IN ADDITION, I am including as a bonus gift, the book (in PDF form) that started it all for me, 'Keely and his Discoveries - Aerial Navigation' which includes the analysis of Keely's discoveries by Dr. Daniel G. Brinton. This 407 page eBook alone is worth the price of the KeelyNet BBS CD but it will give you some degree of understanding about what all Keely accomplished which is just now being rediscovered, but of course, without recognizing Keely as the original discoverer. Chapters include; Vibratory Sympathetic and Polar Flows, Vibratory Physics, Latent Force in Interstitial Spaces and much more. To give some idea of how Keely's discoveries are being slowly rediscovered in modern times, check out this Keely History. These two excellent bodies of information will be sent to you on CD. If alternative science intrigues and fascinates you, this CD is what you've been looking for... - More Info

'The Evolution of Matter' and 'The Evolution of Forces' on CD
KeelyNet Years ago, I had been told by several people, that the US government frequently removes books they deem dangerous or 'sensitive' from libraries. Some are replaced with sections removed or rewritten so as to 'contain' information that should not be available to the public despite the authors intent. A key example was during the Manhattan Project when the US was trying to finalize research into atomic bombs. They removed any books that dealt with the subject and two of them were by Dr. Gustave Le Bon since they dealt with both energy and matter including radioactivity. I had been looking for these two books for many years and fortunately stumbled across two copies for which I paid about $40.00 each. I couldn't put down the books once I started reading them. Such a wealth of original discoveries, many not known or remembered today. / Page 88 - Without the ether there could be neither gravity, nor light, nor electricity, nor heat, nor anything, in a word, of which we have knowledge. The universe would be silent and dead, or would reveal itself in a form which we cannot even foresee. If one could construct a glass chamber from which the ether were to be entirely eliminated, heat and light could not pass through it. It would be absolutely dark, and probably gravitation would no longer act on the bodies within it. They would then have lost their weight. / Page 96-97 - A material vortex may be formed by any fluid, liquid or gaseous, turning round an axis, and by the fact of its rotation it describes spirals. The study of these vortices has been the object of important researches by different scholars, notably by Bjerkness and Weyher. They have shown that by them can be produced all the attractions and repulsions recognized in electricity, the deviations of the magnetic needle by currents, etc. These vortices are produced by the rapid rotation of a central rod furnished with pallets, or, more simply, of a sphere. Round this sphere gaseous currents are established, dissymetrical with regard to its equatorial plane, and the result is the attraction or repulsion of bodies brought near to it, according to the position given to them. It is even possible, as Weyher has proved, to compel these bodies to turn round the sphere as do the satellites of a planet without touching it. / Page 149 - "The problem of sending a pencil of parallel Hertzian waves to a distance possesses more than a theoretical interest. It is allowable to say that its solution would change the course of our civilization by rendering war impossible. The first physicist who realizes this discovery will be able to avail himself of the presence of an enemy's ironclads gathered together in a harbour to blow them up in a few minutes, from a distance of several kilometres, simply by directing on them a sheaf of electric radiations. On reaching the metal wires with which these vessels are nowadays honeycombed, this will excite an atmosphere of sparks which will at once explode the shells and torpedoes stored in their holds. With the same reflector, giving a pencil of parallel radiations, it would not be much more difficult to cause the explosion of the stores of powder and shells contained in a fortress, or in the artillery sparks of an army corps, and finally the metal cartridges of the soldiers. Science, which at first rendered wars so deadly, would then at length have rendered them impossible, and the relations between nations would have to be established on new bases." - More Info

14 Ways to Save Money on Fuel Costs
KeelyNetThis eBook is the result of years of research into various methods to increase mileage, reduce pollution and most importantly, reduce overall fuel costs. It starts out with the simplest methods and offers progressively more detailed technologies that have been shown to reduce fuel costs. As a bonus to readers, I have salted the pages with free interesting BONUS items that correlate to the relevant page. Just filling up with one tank of gas using this or other methods explained here will pay for this eBook. Of course, many more methods are out there but I provided only the ones which I think are practical and can be studied by the average person who is looking for a way to immediately reduce their fuel costs. I am currently using two of the easier methods in my own vehicle which normally gets 18-22 mpg and now gets between 28 and 32 mpg depending on driving conditions. A tank of gas for my 1996 Ford Ranger costs about $45.00 here so I am saving around $15-$20 PER TANK, without hurting my engine and with 'greener' emissions due to a cleaner burn! The techniques provided in this ebook begin with simple things you can do NOW to improve your mileage and lower your gas costs. - eBook Download / More Info

The Physics of the Primary State of Matter
KeelyNet The Physics of the Primary State of Matter - published in the 1930s, Karl Schappeller described his Prime Mover, a 10-inch steel sphere with quarter-inch copper tubing coils. Guidelines for Alternative Science

Alternative science covers a wide range of interests. Generally, it includes gravity control, free energy, electronic healing techniques, all forms of energy conversion, antigravity, levitation, overunity, time travel (as well as slowing down or speeding up local time).

Also clearly covered is the art of power generation (ideally zero point or aether conversion), space travel, physics of matter and energy, sound/acoustics and how it can be used to produce useful phenomena, electric or magnetic forces to produce useful phenomena, various types of motors, vacuum energy, dimensional travel and shifts, medicine, hydrogen generation and how it is used.

It also covers oil/petroleum and how it can be used to produce energy and products, weather control for cancelling earthquakes, tsunamis, fires, floods and to produce rain or clear weather on demand, oxygen/ozone therapy, nitrogen as a motor driver, water generation and manipulation via steam and vacuum, ecological restoration techniques, biophysics, rejuvenation and an unending list of other subjects, most of which are accepted by 'orthodox' science.
