First American Scientific Corporation has developed new technology that we feel is of global significance to problems arising from human waste disposal activity. Full details are available at .

The technology, which is built into our Kinetic Disintegratioin System, is called Kinetic Disintegration Technology (KDT) and incorporates standing sound waves and kinetic energy to disintegrate virtually all non-metallic substances into powders as fine as -400 mesh.

This means that previously problematic recyclables like rubber (tires), gypsum (drywall), plastics, insulation, glass, and bio-solid wastes can be cost- effectively "micronized" and separated for re-use as industrial raw materials.

This information will be of particular interest to investors, municipal engineers, agricultural research facilities, waste disposal engineers, recycled product developers, and others who have an interest in solving the crises being generated from worldwide waste disposal.

Our apologies if you view this information as intrusive, but First American Scientific Corporation will not contribute to global deforestation by disseminating information through printed materials. We feel this technology is of the highest global priority.

Thank you for taking the time to read this letter.

Enzyme Waste Processor

One other point of a recent conversation with Bob Eanes, he speaks of an inventor named Thor Hansen (sp?). Thor is a specialist with enzymes and how they interact with organic matter. He has developed all kinds of unbelievable products and reactions.

Cheyenne Turner related a dialogue with Bob which he verified, that Thor had developed a portable camp-type potty.

It used a 12VDC battery and certain enzymes. When any organic material was placed in the bowl (designed for human bio-waste), the lid is closed and a button is pushed. A whoosh sound is heard and when the lid is raised, nothing remains but a dry powder. The device is being developed for marketing.

This is the contact information from Bob's business card. The company is:

Technology document from the URL

The Kinetic Disintegrating System (KDS) is designed and manufactured to efficiently convert a variety of materials from approximately 1-1/2" or smaller feedstock to ultra fine 200-400 mesh particles at a rate of 4-10 tons per hour, depending on the material being processed. Applications for the KDS mill include glass, gypsum, rubber, wood, mineral rock, sludge and a wide variety of other solid or semi solid materials.

Kinetic Disintegrator Specifications

Dimensions Length Width Height
Floor Space 9'11"/ 3.02m 4'7"/ 1.4m N/A
Overall 14'/ 4.27m 7'1"/ 2.13m 16'3"/ 4.9m
Weight 9,200 lbs./ 4173 kg
Electrical 1 Drive Motor 480 V/ 150
1 Blower Motor 480 V/ 2hp
3 Accessory Motors 480 V/ 2hp

Maintenance: The KDS has been designed to require limited remedial maintenance; however, should parts become worn after lengthy operation, replacements are readily available and are often "off the shelf" acquisitions.

The following preventative maintenance schedule should be followed:

Item Description Period
2 Main Check Belt Tension Daily
3 Main Grease 2 Shaft Bearings Each Shift
4 Main Tighten Rubber Shaft Flange Monthly
5 Blower Grease 2 Motor Bearings Monthly
6 Classifier Grease 2 Motor Bearings Monthly
7 Classifier Grease 2 Motor Bearings Weekly
8 Classifier Check Belt Tension Monthly
9 Input Gate Grease 2 Motor Bearings Monthly
10 Input Gate Check Chain Tension Monthly
11 Input Gate Check Gearbox Oil Level Monthly
12 Input Gate Check Rubber Paddles 2 Months
13 Output Gate Grease 2 Motor Bearings Monthly
14 Output Gate Check Chain Tension Monthly
15 Output Gate Check Gearbox Oil Level Monthly
16 Output Gate Check Rubber Paddles 2 Months

A comprehensive maintenance manual will be supplied at purchase and our personnel will attend at start-up and provide on-site training to your staff.

Warranty: The Kinetic Disintegrator is fully warranted for a period of one year from the date of installation, plus a limited 3 year warranty is provided against all workmanship. All electrical components are warranted by the manufacturers*

* Warranty can be affected if the preventative maintenance schedule is not adhered to.

  • The raw material is dropped into the throat of the mill and passes through an air-lock gate value that eliminates blow-back and dust .
  • The material gravitates to the center of the KDS and is then subjected to a high frequency sonic wave of great amplitude that is mechanically induced.
  • A greater part of the material is broken down very rapidly within this area of the mill (the Taurus). The main drive motor is 150 HP.
  • The KDS uses air volume and pressure to move all material throughout the mill and this air is partially recycled. The balance of the make-up air is introduced from the atmosphere and air-conditioned to assist in dehydration and cooling the operation. The blower motor is 25 HP.
  • Air is injected into the Taurus at a rate of more than 7,000 cubic feet per minute and lifts the processed material to the classifier.
  • The classifier grades the material to the required size and passes finished material while rejecting oversize particles for re-processing. The classifier motor is 2 HP.
  • Finished material lifts out of the mill into the cyclone where air pressure decreases and allows the particles to fall out of suspension.
  • The air returns to the mill while the finished product falls through another air lock gate value to be packaged or placed in a bulk container.

    Cost of Operation
  • As every installation is different and as power charges can vary from 1.5 cents to 15 cents per kWh, it is difficult to establish a set cost of operation to cover all locations. It is also noteworthy that through-put varies with different materials varies and this too will affect operation costs. We can offer the example of our Bakersfield, CA installation where our operating costs per ton are $16-18. (Note: this installation has two mills, automated bagging facilities and a power cost of 13 cents per kWh) You can calculate your power costs as follows (H.P. H.75 $kWh = cost/hour)
  • Note: Costs for material, bags, pallets, shrink wrap, material, etc. are in excess of this amount.

  • All KDSs are delivered F.O.B. Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, and costs of shipping are for the customer's account. The shipment includes: a KDS, a basic motor control center and the motors described earlier. Any additional equipment and cost of installation are billed to the customer's account. A KDS can be supplied within 30 days of order and takes about 3 days to install providing power etc. is readily available.

Recently, I asked them this:

I am a student studying ultrasonic disintegration; Do you have any nonproprietary information about the machine you designed, possibly the transducer(s) size you use, the voltage and current, and the frequency that you drive the transducer(s) and with what type of power amplifiers?

Thank for your help,
Chris Koveleski

Mr. Kovaleski;

Thank you for your question, it is a good one because I don't have any of that information and the company president has kept this sort of information 'close to his chest'.

I know that we did not develop the technology ourselves, we have another engineering company called Spectrasonic. They have not published any scientific papers because they were awaiting their patent, and since that has been granted, there are still no plans to that I am aware of.

I am going to keep your letter in my file for a while and see what I can find out. I'm sure that the information isn't 'secret' or anything, it is more a matter of getting in touch with the right person. I just thought I should let you know, and I'll get back to you soon.

Thanks again for your question.

3 months to Patent Number

Subject: Re: [Fwd: Patent #]

Mr. Decker;

Thank you for your inquiry regarding our patent number. I talked to our C.F.O. and he informed me that they have been advised by our lawyers that the patent has been granted. As the news release on our website shows, this happened quite recently.

However, Mr. Dinning informed me that the 'machinery' in Washington is slow, and the notification of the number could take up to six months from the granting of the patent.

This would arrive then, within three months or so.

Thank you for the reference on your very interesting page. I found the company reference (and my own reply to your friend -- a surprise!).

Please feel free to contact us again if you have any more questions.
